He's ultimately in charge of our armed forces (Commander in Chief) but you need a declaration of war to be passed by Congress to officially go to war. That is one of the reasons nobody likes Ron Paul, he keeps reminding everyone that we didn't officially declare war on Iraq or Afghanistan yet we bombed and invaded them.

Yes Destyn I hate Hillary and pretty much all socialist bastards, but we do need them around to balance out the fascists. That does not mean we need to have a socialist president.

I agree with Fuse, however I also know why most people won't vote for anyone other than the commercial candidate, naivety coupled with laziness. American people only band together to do great things when they have a fire lit under their ass (I know because I'm one of them).

Remember, everyone from Cletus the slack-jawed yokel to Professor Frink really only cares about how things affect them. So would you rather elect someone who promises "free" healthcare and "don't worry we'll take care of you" politics or someone who says "you earn what you work for" and "you're on your own except for national defense"

I suspect the only way we'll ever get back towards state/local governance is if Washington D.C. is destroyed during a state of the union address.

Yup. A damn shame that's as far as people go with it. "Oh, you'll take care of me? AWESOME!" (nevermind that it will take more money away from me.
