So I've had an interesting few days...

So I'll start at the beginning. The other night I went out with about 20-25 co-workers of mine for some drinks because one of our managers was leaving our restaurant. It was quiet amusing seeing that many ppl drinking as fast a possible to get hammered in the 30 or so mins we had before last call. I had about 4 long island iced teas in about 15-20 mins so when I got home I was feeling pretty good. This isn't the story... what comes next is.

So I get home and hop on my computer. I found myself browsing myspace checking messages and whatnot when I came across a bulletin posted by this girl I had met a few months back at a friends college graduation party. Nice girl, very cute. We ended up spending a good deal of time together that night... hung out about 3-4am. Nothing really developed because of a few different reasons. Back to the point though. I see that's she's posted one of those "b/f g/f applications" which is basically a survey you fill out with personal and intimate questions about yourself and what you think of the other person. So of course... being drunk I thought it was a GREAT idea to fill it out.

The next morning I woke up remembering what I'd done and felt like an ass. Figured if I even heard back from her she'd think I was a creep. Later that day after I got back from classes I found a message from her on myspace. I open it up and it turns out that she thinks I'm sweet, etc etc and wants to go out some time in a casual fashion. Says she isn't really looking for any kind of serious relationship or dating. I think great that's pretty much my mindset as well right now. Now I've figured out why she's not looking for anything serious.

So I was looking through her profile and something struck me as odd. All of her recent pictures are from the waist up. Any more recent picture she's wearing very loose or baggy clothing. Then I see her latest pictures. She's at the least a good 4-5 months pregnant. Not only that but a recent blog posting speaks of her upcoming baby shower that I missed before.

To be perfectly honest I don't have any problem with that. I still have in interest in hanging out with her at some point and getting to know her better. I also think it would be horrendous of me to blow her off because I've found this out. Now I thought people would support me on that. The few people I have talked to though it's been quite the opposite. They all think I should run... run far far away. They've given plenty of reasons ranging from hormones to what the situation might be with the father of the child. Some are legitimate some are questionable.

Now I've pretty much made up my mind on this. So I'm not really looking for advice. I'm just curious what you guys would do. Also what you think of my decision to go ahead with setting up a casual get together with her.

Make it clear to her that you're not going to be a baby daddy. You may have to repeat that to her several times.

Otherwise, go for it!

Although I've always wondered if that would be some kind of child abuse if you were poking it with your penis, though that might not be until the last two months :-p

Don't misunderstand I'm not looking to be a surrogate father lol. I'm just interested to get to know this girl better and see if there is chemistry to be expanded upon. Also I doubt she's looking for a baby daddy seeing as she's just looking for something casual. =p
