So I've been thinking about this farming. We need a strategy to speed it up. The way the math adds up, we're just going to be doing an insane amount of farming. Here's my projections...

For the headgear you will need 5 corrupter codes and 10 decaying archives. It's 340 insecticides per corrupter code and 40 per decaying archive, making a grand total of 2100 decaying codes.

As it stands now, whether solo or as a group, I'd say we average about 20 codes per person per hour. That being the case, in order to get 2000 codes, you will need to farm for 100 hours. Just to have an idea of how long that is, if you were able to farm two hours a day every day, it would take you 50 days, or almost two months, to farm enough codes. Most of us will be lucky if we average an hour a day, or 100 days of farming. That's over three months.

I've been trying to find a way to increase codes per hour, but the only idea I've come up with so far is for those who don't plan on farming to still get in game and hang out in our farming area to increase the number of spawns that we are hacking. If anyone can think of a good strategy, let me know.

I can only see a couple ways of doing this... and one of them I wouldn't recommend on doing during regular business hours.  If people were willing to come in with low level alts... under lvl 10 you can drop those in with one AOE.  You get about 5-6 low level alts on all with defense clothing and block tactics with a area healer on their team and one person not on team hitting them with AOE's then as quickly as they spawn you kill them and reap the rewards.  That is something I wouldn't want to do while others were around watching.

The only other thing I could think about would be other people logging on and standing around but then if they got killed their spawns would disappear, so they would have to be in MS, with some kind of AFK macro running.

Did the spawn rates get screwed up after the rollback last weekend?  I stood in Bathary for an hour and thirty minutes on Sunday and didn't get a single spawn.

Apparently you can get a spawn by jacking in and out of a Bathory hardline. Each time you enter Bathory you have a chance of a spawn, so if you alternate between the Loading Area and Bathory W a couple of times, you'll get a spawn.

Also, Bathory SE is not near as crowded as Bathory W. The alts isn't a bad idea, assuming we have some people with alts they might want to level who aren't interested in the decaying code. I mean, you'd still have to kill the 53s that spawned on that AOEr and the healer.

How low of a level are we looking at?  I've got a 3, should be easy to run a couple of missions and get them to where we need them.

A 3 works as long as you have the access node, hardlines, and stay away from the NPCs in the area. In theory, just helping out with your alt should level it a bit.

We would have to be on the roofs... that way, we wouldn't have to worry about gangs spawning and we'll be more conspicuous, hopefully.

The area that we were in last night was pretty much gang-free.  But this looks like it works, for the most part.

There's also an interesting side-effect to the Corrupted spawns that, for some reason, had me tickled pink last night.  At the Bathary Row SE hardline, you can enter some of the surrounding warehouses.

I thought it would be a good idea to spawn a bunch of Corrupted in a cramped little room and let Tbone go nuts with his AOEs.  But apparently the Corrupted don't like being indoors.  While we were inside, the spawn rate shot up like a rocket.  Corrupted were spawning about every ten seconds inside the warehouse, but they would disappear as soon as they spawned.

I'm guessing this is some kind of safeguard that Rarebit put in to keep people from hoarding spawns in the warehouses.  We think this also affected our spawn rate in some way once we got back outside.  We had a full team of six, with three lvl 50's and three low level alts.  Corrupted would spawn on Voltio, Tbone, and Adad's low level, but the rest of us never got any.

We've got this perfected. Fairly simple and very very effective.

Everyone gets on a low level alt - the lower the better. After getting the Bathory key, node, and hardlines, you jack into Bathory SE (preferably). After jacking in, immediately go back into your Loading Area, then immediately back to Bathory SE. Repeat until a huge Wasteland spawns on your poor low level alt (doesn't take too long).

At this point, position yourself far enough away from the Wasteland that you do not have to worry about his aura. You will notice two regular Corrupted hovering around your Wasteland that are three levels above you (at level 2 they are level 5, etc. etc.). You can use Coder proxy abilities to make a sim and send him into the fray to fetch out your two Corrupted. They should start to come at you, but before they can reach you, your lvl 50 friend will hack them safely from the roof of one of the warehouses. After the first two die, another two will spawn near the Wasteland just a few seconds later and immediately come after you into your death trap.

This creates a steady flow of low level Corrupted that a lvl 50 can area hack in one hit. Because the lvl 50 is on the roof, no lvl 53s spawn, and you are ONLY dealing with low level Corrupted.

If you have more than two people on your team, all but one person should be a low level alt. Each low level needs to spawn their own Wasteland by jacking in and out of the hardline until all of you have one (so in a team of 6 there should be 5 Wastelands at the hardline and a steady stream of 10 Corrupted that can be killed in one hit by your lvl 50 on the roof).

We've found that using this method, we've at least tripled our Decaying Code intake. So now your low level has all of these Decaying Codes, but they can't be traded! Don't fear! Turn them in to Fumigator for Insecticides, then email the Insecticides to your main. You'll still need to collect the 400 decaying codes on your main for the archives, but since you'll probably have your turn at being the lvl 50 attacker, it won't take long to get that.

Voila! We are geniuses!
