Operatives, we have grown complacent
« on: May 30, 2007, 12:14:28 pm »
Ok, I'm going to be "that guy"...

Where the hell is everyone?  For the past week or two, there have been maybe five people in TS at any given time.  My buddy list is completely empty for the most part.

Are we bored?  Busy with other stuff?

I miss you guys.  :(

The summer has always been a slow time for us. You'd think people would have more free time, but I've found it is usually the opposite. Take a look at all the "vacation" topics that have been started this month.

Personally I've been busy with another show. We open tomorrow, which means I will finally begin to get free time again. I've also started dating two girls, so I haven't had a free evening in a few weeks...heh.

I do feel there is another issue at hand, though. There hasn't been much going on in game. PvP has been lacking from what I understand - even the other orgs are scarce. As for events, not only have they been far and few between, but the ones that have taken place have been sorely disappointing.

The game has run out of content and when things do happen, there really isn't enough people around to make it feel exciting. This being said, we have been talking on finding ways to spice things up and get everyone more active and interested. A couple of ideas is another Broin-produced movie as well as a schedule of patrols for the Matrix.

I've also started dating two girls,

Nice T!

I've been away ... well pretty much since I started the CS:S thread. I've not been subbed either for quite some time now...  When I came out of retirement it felt good... like I was getting back into it... (that was when work was rather quiet).

Since then we've basically had a complete turnover in staff at work ... and other than my supervisor, I am the most senior in my department.  I am coordinating a 1.66 million dollar project, need I remind you this is my first job out of college and I've only been with the company for 8 months.  if that wasn't enough(1), im basically training the two new employees on a regular basis, because they a both speaking english as a second language. if that wasn't enough(2), i'm now the IS guy in the office so im usually at work on the weekends doing work on computers and stuff keeping things @ par.

And trying to keep my relationship with what I hope will be my future wife, on the right track.

So please forgive me for not being around. :)

Is it time to consider other game possibilities? Please?

Recently I've been busy with school, and I will be busy still with school until Thursday of next week. After that, I have a free weekend.

Then I have an honest-to-God job starting the 11th from 8-5. I'll be on every evening from then on, once things settle down, though!

I will try to be in more, though. I have this tendency to just not jack in when I see no one on TS. I'll start heading to the TS channel if I'm online.

Don't start that, Fuse, please!
Well... Lits has been around, usually in the afternoon/after2am FAtime. Most of you have been on in the evenings/pre-midnight.

As far as content, wasn't there something thrown around a while ago about an FA sponsored event? Even if we're the only ones keeping the Matrix content alive, at least it will BE alive. And who could do a better event than the strongest faction in gaming history? That's just my suggestion. It seems it would pull all of us together and add sidestory content to the game as well as liven things up for the other players. Perfect solution, assuming we take measures to not step on LESIG or Dev toes.

What do you think?

Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

I like your idea Lits, as well as the others.

It would be sweet to do an FA Spring Fest. I don't know, but that just has the sweetest ring to it.

No other games.  We can diversify too much and ruin what is a good - and focused faction.  Not all of us care for FPS.

i share the destyn view, and indeed the manic view; i have been here; not always on TS but whilst waiting for baby to arrive, always in game. tally ho.

wow i found how to edit things too! also, and not to be controversial there was a time when FA was the content and provided part of the experiance. just my two cents worth...

Between finishing classes, graduating and moving back home for now, I have been as scarce as anyone.  Then you tack on the lack of content and others, and I just have no motivation to use my free time on this game lately.  But I feel a rebirth coming on and should be back more often.  I'd appreciate the world to look normal again, damn missing sati, so i can at least enjoy making that movie.  I will be on more tho, see you guys soon i hope.

Maybe if someone would write another act... *cough*Venlar, Phienyx, Dag, TBone, whomever *cough*
