No shunning allowed on a political topic.

Hmm, I'd say Obama because David Palmer made a kick ass prez.

LOL with this in mind I'll add my two cents in on a few comments...

1st Barak Obama... Seriously... I mean come on seriously.  Name me one thing this guy has done that would qualify him for the most powerful position on the planet?  Your next thoughts should be... He is a junior senator.  Junior as in JV... With that in mind and how I know many of you are still in that younger age group think about putting that JV quarterback in a superbowl against the Stealers Defense.  Yeah that's right its the same thing... Only the JV quarter back would do a better job.  That's why almost 80%+ of our president's in the recent past have come from the ranks of governors.  you know guys that run whole states not just tell their pages what kind of coffee they want in the morning.

Somebody mentioned education and us keeping up with Asia... Hey take a look around at any college campus.  And I mean ANY.  You'll see that the Asian countries and in fact every major industrial country sends their students over here to learn... Why is that?  Because we kick the crap out of them in higher education and learning.

Why can this be you ask?  Well because higher education is an outcome based open market system.  If you put in the time effort and kick some ass then you reap the rewards.  Now it is the k-12 education system that sucks for shit in this country.  Why is that you ask?  Well because it's ran by the damn goverment and teachers union.  Seriously take a look at the Euro's education system and ours.  Theirs starts k-12 to mirror our higher education system.

This means that the money follows the student.  If there is a shitty school then students dont' have to go to it and the school and teachers loose their job.  No choice K-12 here in the states.  The Government, through the school corp, and more exactly the teachers union tells all the children in the US where they can attend school at and usually it is based off of geographic criteria, this results in the shit hole schools you see in major metropolitan areas.

Answer to that problem.  School choice.  Proposed by our current pres and turned down and denied by guess who... That's right all of your leading Dem candidates and their other lackeys.

Something you folks really need to grasp.  And trust me I speak from experience on this.  The govt doesn't want you to be able to do for yourself.  They want you to depend on them for everything.  That's how the power is maintained.  It's pervasive through our education system, our tax system, the healthcare system... ie Medicaid, SS, Medicare, etc. and most especially a all inclusive state run healtchare for everyone that the Dems want to instate.

Trust me the goal is to get over 50% + of the population dependent in some way shape or form upon the federal govt for their livley hood or well being.  Ie, schools, jobs, healthcare, safety, etc.  Once that 50% is achieved there will be no turning back.

What you all should learn and learn as soon as you can is that the Goverment can not do anything for you.

All it is, is a pit that sucks the life and livelihood out of those it deems rich or to have to much wealth, or to well off and then redistributes that bounty/booty to those who have not paid the price or sacrifice to gain the benefit.

I use to have some good discusion with my father.  He use to complain about how all these CEO's of companies shouldn't be able to make all the millions that they do.  He thought it was just ridiculous that someone made that much.  It wasn't fair.

I always agreed with him and said yeah it's kind of like this new guy Tiger Woods whose driving the golf bar an extra 50-100 yards past everyone else.  I mean it's not right that he should be able to do that right.  I mean all his hardwork and dedication of time and sweat and effort and sacrafice shouldn't give him the right to do that.  It just wasn't fair to those other players who weren't able to.  I suggested that they put a special spot for him to start from say 75 yards behing everyone else on each golf course.

Sounds weird huh...?  But think about it.  That's the way it works in the mind of many leaders in our country.

Oh and one more rant before I go...

War in Iraq.  Folks, two words for you... True Evil.  There is such a thing it does exist, and it always has.  We, are country, in the past 100 years have been the ones who have stood on the line against such.

You all should go to bed each night and pray that we don't pull out of that place to soon as what they are suggesting.  People harping on deaths of soldiers.  Bah.... 3,000 +  in military terms that's a pittance. Hell in WWII we lost over 2,000 in one day on a single military training exercise.  Training to go to war, over 2,000 in one day.... One Day.  Hell if the SOB's whining and complaining and gnashing their teeth like they are today were around back then and pulling the shit back then they are now...

Well one of two things would've happened.  One... they all would've been shot for treason....  or Two we wouldn't have to worry about all this middleast bull shit because everyone in Europe/Asia would either be goose stepping it or bowing down to the flag of the rising sun.

Instead Europe and Asia are the way they are today because of one thing... Us, and the commitment of will and self sacrafice that the men and women of a great generation had the forsight and courage to lay down for everyone, everywhere.

Ah hell dont' get me started on this crap again.... Nuff said

EDITED IN HERE....

Oh and P.S.  Newt or Fred will be the next pres... Why because young whiper snappers like you don't have the wherewithall to go out and vote... And I thank each and everyone of you who doesn't.... LOL   :D

Besides Fred Thompson freakin' rocks.... Good guy you'll see him and/or Newt come into the frey in a few months... Probably around the July-Oct time period.  Mark my words kiddo's... Mark my words

Go ahead, make my day.

Obama doesn't have the governor's experience yes, but what he does have is  a brain and a genuine personality, that goes along way in my book ideologically. I've already pointed out that I don't agree with most of his ideas, but I do respect his opinion and I respect him as a person.

That said, I really do hope you're right about Newt and/or Thompson. My first cognitive experience with a President was Clinton, followed by G-Dubya. So I suppose I'm really just happy that there are politicians out there who inspire me. To paraphrase, Newt, "One of the things I wanted to do was travel around with him (some Democrat) and have debates; arguing passionately and fervently over many topics from education to health care, from the military to abortion rights, but at the end of the debate, we'd shake hands and hop on a bus or plane together and let people see that too." That's something I can't imagine Hillary doing.

Speaking of Hillary, the people who voted for her still haven't fessed up :-p
If all the world's problems were solved today, what would you have left to do tomorrow?

Also, I think I like obama because I compare him to this guy:

And that’s what we do. We put in more troops to get to a position where we can be in some other place. The question is, who ought to make that decision? The Congress or the commanders? And as you know, my position is clear — I’m the commander guy.

*facepalm*

Moore, that moron documentary director. He had maybe one decent film about Flint Michigan and then he just got stupider.
