No, he's right.  For many years now Gay Day at Disney has been a tradition, designed originally to show old Walt what we thought of his Epcot utopia and his distinctly homophobic views.  It's no Fire Island, it's just all the local queens showing up to take over the theme park for the day.  Not one for the kiddies

Technically speaking.. I don't think it is something Disney employees are allowed to confirm whether that is the intended date.. for that matter.. I don't think Disney even knows when it is happening until it almost is there... Its the same way at Six Flags Theme park in Georgia..

Clearly, Broin invented Gay Day as an excuse to make us THINK he isn't going to be there then....it's all coming together

woah six flags has one too? the last time I was there I saw 2 guys and I just knew those fookers were gay (not that there is anything wrong with that lol).  I dont typically see guys holding hands and walking so it came as a bit of a shock.

I remember one year when my family was up in Orlando on vacation.  We did Universal, and we were going to do Disney too, but it ended up being the Gay Weekend, so we ended up not going to Disney.  Sucks that they have to do that and ruin a fun weekend for kids. I was like 12.  I was pretty disappointed.

In fairness though Teck you have the other 363 days of the year to play there, we only get two to be ourselves

Eh, but when you are there for the once-a-year family vacation, it's kinda disappointing.  Especially when you don't know that it's the weekend you're going to be there.  My parents had no idea.  Just woke up Saturday morning in the hotel, turned on the news, and it was all over the news.  Once you're there, it's kinda hard to cancel and plan for a trip another time.  Broin got lucky that he found out ahead of time.

Guess so.  But if it was announced, it would be a whole lot messier - organized protests, arrests etc etc.  Guess it wouldn't be easy either way
