I can understand the Verizon reps confusion because he didn't state his goal at the very beginning. Instead he tried to explain the reason. So they had no idea what he was getting at. Yes they're stupid, but even stupid people recognize goals.

I have a feeling this conversation could have been shortened if he started off this way and kept hammering it into their heads. "look, I've been charged 71 dollars, I should only be charged 71 cents." If you listen to the entire thing, he's never once says that.

But yeah, I'm with Dag.  The guy should have just said "You're charging me in dollars, when I was quoted in cents.  Hence I should only have to pay 71 cents."

IT wouldn't matter.. they can't differentiate between .002 dollars and .002 cents..
What is probably says is .002.. they assume that its cents because of the decimal so they are infact confused themselves.. what they should have told him obviously is .002 dollars per kilobyte or minute but because all it shows is .002 they think its .002 cents..

If that were me.. I would contact a lawyer..
