You guys remember when the F.E.A.R. demo came out, we all downloaded it, played it, discussed it, and loved it?

Well, if you like great demos, and and good first person shooters, you owe it to yourself to try out Prey.  I just got through most of the demo (quite lengthy), and it's great.

I'll probably pick this one up when it comes out.

I played the first bit of the demo, like up until the "storm" happens and you get taken for a little scenic trip, as it were, and I have to say...I probably won't be able to complete this demo...nor will I purchase the game...

You see...this game is pretty much the pure manifestation of my strongest phobia. I am deathly, deathly, deathly afraid of the main subject matter of the story. Especially what happens after the announcement of the "storm"...I was sweating, breathing hard, and literally began to panic in real life...

So, yeah, as wimpy as that sounds, I was utterly terrified...it was kind of a rush, but I didn't enjoy the feeling of being that terrified.

Ooo, I'll look into this game, I love being terrified! That's why I love the Resident Evil 1 remake. I also like FEAR 'cause it's a total mind f**k. I'll have a look later after I mow the lawn ^_^

I downloaded the demo several days ago but didn't have the opportunity to play it until last night.  Loved it. I'll be honest I haven't played a true 1st person shooter since Half-Life1 so I was blown away by the advancements in graphics, the layout  of the terrain and the story line was actually interesting.  ( I loved the killing interspersed with the curse words)

Yep, definitely a far cry from my early days with Wolfenstein (the original one).

You should see the freakin' multiplayer!  Spirit Walk, Anti-Grav, Teleports, the whole shebang is used in Multiplayer.  I usually go onto a Anti-Grav walkway and leave my body hanging upside down up there while I kill in Spirit Walk. :)

We should schedule some multiplayer; anyone want to get on tonight around 10p.m. - 11p.m. EST?

OMG LMAO!! The moment I heard Don't Fear The Reaper playing when you get abducted, I knew I love this game ;) It just gets more and more crazy after that. Highly recommended!

oh my fucking god.

******SPOILERS BELOW************

First...  how could we ever doubt 3d realms?  What a fuckign great game company.  Any of you old schoolers from the duke 3d days will love some of the 3d realms flavor added to this game.  Fucking.  Awesome.

Aside from the flavor.

What an awesome story.  I was so into the bar scene at the beginning.  Too cool.

And the music!  YES!  lolz

OK but the BEST parts.

How FUCKING CRAZY was the teleportation, the gravity switches...  I mean let's talk about the gravity for a second.

I almost puked in real life.  It was mind blowing (not to mention the character actually puking from hitting those gravity switches... that was classic).  What a fucking amazing spin on FPS.  Being able to manipulate gravity.  wow.  how fucking cool.

And then that glass box with the sphere in it that you end up getting teleported into?  Shrinking you?  FUCK!  That was awesome.

But the trippiest part of the demo were those teleport boxes that when you went in one you saw yourself in another dimension walk into the box was well... like you were chasing yourself.  Man... thank god I wasn't high or I would be freaking out for days.

Last night I was laying there dreaming about trying to move real quick and grab my other dimension's leg.  haha

Anyway... this game is fucking awesome.  I love all the bio mech stuff... especially the gun that when you right click to use the scope the scope is actually an organism that attaches itself to your eye!  HAHAHA  KICK ASS!
