Uhhh think you missed my point by a mile there Myst.  They said they're removing AIM, they didn't say there would be no in-game chat (in fact they said there would be in-game chat).  That implies some kind of buddy list at least.... so it would surely be a matter of transferring the names over?

And what are the VD and VT going to be good for anyway!  In every Viro build I've ever used, my VT and VD were maxed through abilities, and it's not like those 5 points would make a difference in memory even if I were content with that sometimes bonus.  Maybe, just maybe, I'll use the CT boost just before a sneak attack to make sure it goes through, but in the levels where it matters, 5 points is worthless.

Walrus also mentioned that MxO would be receiving an ingame mail system similar to SWG sometime down the line. The way he spoke of it, was basically that they were removing AIM to make room for the SOE chat and ingame mail system

Just for your information, the reason they had AIM in the first place was because AOL Time Warner? Anyone remember mergers? Yes it sucks veryly, all that hard work for makeing things work is now down the drain, but instead of running like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, or n00bs screaming 'WTF? OMG?! Haxx!1!'

Lets try to remember that we are a Faction of smart people and we will figure something out, so lets stop bitching and start working on what we can do, such as will the new clients be completely cut off from outside messagers?

Well it kind of puts a damper on the AIM BOT. Also, not everyone I talk to is in TeamSpeak, and I have never once in this game used the /t command to have private conversations. Initiate it with a /tell. and continue in a window through AIM when they reply. So... yeah, my mode of communication is going to change drasticly.

Apart from the bot, MxO was heralded with the AIM integration.
I'm sure that was a main feature that got the limelight when MxO was still in prodcution (was still?).

They are removing a feature that I'm sure is listed on the box.

Am I the only one who kinda likes that change? First of all, I will miss the AIM integration. I tallowed us to stay connected no matter if in game or not. My girlfriend also loved being to actually get a hold of me when I wouldn't answer the phone.

SOEs chat systems are wonderful. chat rooms, inter-server chats, more options. I invite it.

Ive noticed that the you can send pms to players just by guessing whos in game.. which isnt that bad but still we have no idea whos in game which sucks
