MxO sold to SOE?

From this article it looks like WB and SOE are working together.  It's a partnership, not a full-on transfer of the franchise from one company to another.  Why are people assuming that WB is now completely out of the MxO picture?

My guess is that WB is retaining ownership and creative control of MxO, but they've asked SOE for a little help.  It's not like you'll soon be seeing a Sony logo in place of the WB logo in the footer of the DNO website.

I think people are exaggerating when they talk about all the different ways that MxO is now going to be ruined.  Like everyone having a "Neo Ability", or elves and dragons suddenly roaming the Mega City.  Sony can't be that dumb and out of touch.

lol look at this bullshit

"Our goal is to deliver quality content and consistently advance our key
properties within the online games space," said Jason Hall, senior vice
president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.  "We've done just that
with The Matrix Online.  Because of our compelling work in developing and
launching that game we can now move it over to the leaders in the MMO space,
SOE.  We look forward to working with SOE to enhance our overall services to
massively multiplayer online gamers for The Matrix Online and a new DC Comics
game."

eh... i think it's all for the better, for the sake of the game... hopefully SOE can turn it around

SoE knows MMOs. They know how to develop. They don't know how to keep people interacting and interested. WB knows how to tell a story - I think it would be great if done right.

Will events continue after this change takes place?
We’re very interested in hearing from our subscribers in regards to which content and features of the game should continue in the future.

lol yeah, someone posted a CNN article that mentioned MxO sales:
"Some foreshadowing might be found in another game set in the "Matrix" universe. "The Matrix Online," published by Sega, has only sold 43,100 copies since its launch in late March, according to The NPD Group."
