DJM-909.
God I love this mixer. Unfortunatly, I still have to deal with shitty tables for a few more weeks until I grab a pair of TTX1s. So yeah, if I'm not one much, this is where I'll be.

I've played on that mixer a few times, it's pretty sweet.  I haven't really used the effects module though.  As for turntables, get Technics 1200s yo!

Is that scratch notation on the wall?

1200s are standard, but over-hyped I think...

The TTXs have more torque (Tech MK2s and MK3s 1.5kg/cm vs. TTXs 3.7 peak), faster startup and break times which are adjustable, digital outs, more options than the 1200s, plus they are a bit cheaper.
It's not that I don't like 1200s, I absolutly love spinning on them, but there are a few other great tables out there that beat the 1200s.

Scratch Notation? It's a chord poster for guitar.
----

It was a tossup between the 909, or waiting for the new Numark 5000FX.

and GOD IF I HAD THE MONEY I'd love to get a pair, or even one pioneer DMP-555.

ok, I'm done.

Keta, I used a friends 1200s when I was into it, but those have been long gone. Had to pull these from my atic just so I can pipe something through.
And I think as far as the 1200 vs. ttxs thing it's a lot of personal taste. As I said, I love 1200s, butthe price, torque, and extras kinda tp it for me.

ANd while this thread is attracting DJs and the like, anyone going to DEMF this year? They called it "Fuse" this year, so I may have to make an appearance.

This is my toy:

Just the essentials.. no extra buttons, switches or knobs from features you probably won't ever use to get in your way.  The cleanest fader ever.

As for Technics, in my opinion there has never been a better turntable.  There is a reason why it is still the standard after all these years.  Did you know it is 30 years years old?  The first ones came out in the early 70s.

I have the same pair I started DJing with in 1995.

I was considering a few ranes, also wanted an A&H  rotary xone 92. If I really get back into DJing I'll probably grab one up eventually.

^ whoa that looks tasty!

Found em to be very sturdy, long lasting, of course get some nice carts on there too.
TTX1's are the next in range, so they should be really nice, comparing to this.

Nice fun kill switches, plus swappable x-fader. Clean looks, very clean sound - comes in gold too.

So, Fuse, are you going to be using these for your DJing on Radio Free Zion? Just pipe that shit straight into your PC, man

well...
I haven't spun in about 2 years, and only have like one crate of classic house tracks I couldn't get rid of. So it'll be a while till I get the new tables, the hang of things again and enough records to do a few decent sets. I wasn't all the great when I had spun before-just a few house parties, adn as a hobby-plus it was primaraly only house. I think I may want to change my style up a bit now.

ok short answer: Yes, but not now.

------
I'm in the middle of setting it up where I can do this. Only problem so far is that I can't monitor my DJing, the outgoing stream, the incomming stream, and chats/TS at the same time. I'm setting my laptop to help with some of this though.
