Ok out of nowhere today my computer started running really slow.  I have used Adaware and Norton to check and came back with nothing.  The Matrix Online runs like shit now.  I restarted my computer and the Windows loading screen litterally took 5min to start up windows.  I ran a check at pcpitstop.com and it said i have a cached and uncached speed of only 4mbps.  This is what it said:

Drive C has an uncached speed of 4 megabytes per second.

Drive D has an uncached speed of 4 megabytes per second.

Drive E has an uncached speed of 4 megabytes per second.

For comparison, systems with the same CPU and clock speed as this one have a speed of 47.61 MB/s.

I was wondering if it is time for a reformat and if so does anyone have a guide to do it.  I dont feel like spending money to send my comp to a place so they can charge me 99 bucks just to clean it.  Thanks

ok, something serious has happened.
I would still guess a virus or spyware of some kind.

User Spybot AND Adaware. Multiple combos of spyware checkers work better.
Try booting up in safe mode, and running these checks and virus scanner.

Its also possible that hardware has given up the ghost, most notably the chipset controller that controls data flow from HDD to CPU. Check your mobo, and find the chipset manuifacturer (like VIA). Download new drivers and install - its possible you got a new update from Windows since the auto-blocking isn't on. Just reinstalling these chipset drivers may make things a lot better.

I have the most recent drivers. This happened when i was playing Isketch and i stopped my microsoft spyalert about 5min later a active x controller installed itself and shit hit the fan.  Its working as great as it used to now.  My mobo is Foxconn and their system for installing new drivers if any is shitty.  Im getting a new mobo anyways soon.

apologies, I missed the post where you said you restored.

Remember the MS spyware thing is still beta.

Sorry I just got into this thread. I was gonna suggest a system restore.

Formatting is not too hard.  I've done it more times that I should have had to.

Thanks for helping though.  Im really iffy on ever dl new drivers from foxconn because they do not categorize their mobos well and i might end up installing the wrong drivers.  MS spyware is good though. But my main sources are Adaware and Spybot.
