should we work for Lock?

We know its only a matter of time before the orgs. split up, when it happens should we go and work for commander locke so we can attack all those zionist factions that have "Blacklisted" us, or should we stay the way we are and go with Morpheus?

Its to early in the game to deside who to go with yet. The best choice would be to go where not everyone else is going... I dout many of the haters of FA will follow us to where ever we go though.

i dont think we could choose right now. switching sides due to those factions blacklisting us seems a bit childish. we shouldnt pay them much attention more than we have to. words are easier to forgive than actions. lets stick true to our goal and make an impact to the story. whether they like us or not, they cant deny that we will play a major role in zion's future. new alliances will form, new key players will crop up, but FA will always be here.

I really don't  think we should make such a decision based on the wrong reasons, and these are the wrong reasons.  Which is why I voted no. What we believe in as a group is more important than any of the garbage going on with those other factions. Are we honestly going to let them force us out of siding with who we believe in and what we stand for like that?

If it turns out we side more with  Lock as a faction, then so be it. We side with Lock.  What I'm saying is we shouldn't feel like we're forced into a position we may not wan't just to get away from everyone. Yes, it sucks having some of these people "on our side". But when we let it affect how we make decisions (especially ones this big) then somthing is wrong. Hell, I know some of them would go out of their way to get away from us, and I'm glad for it *coughrisentriadcough*.

We also don't know what the future holds. We don't know what this "split" is or if it will even happen. Like I said, it could turn out that when we agree as a group  what we have the greatest affinity to, that organization could very well be the less popular one anyway.

I'm sorry, but why is this even an issue? I thought FA was dedicated to Morpheus and his cause no matter what, part of the reason why I joined FA. To change our minds at all just shows we can be manipulated and FA is not strong as a faction. Recents events have not gone our way at all, that's a given, but to waver on the very grounds that FA stands for is not right.

I believe a lot of these situations and circumstances could have been avoided if a working chain of command was in place. I haven't talked a lot, and I've been taking a lot of what I hear in, and it's obvious there are too many people causing trouble for the faction by expressing their own opinions. Not the faction's, or even the leader's decision. Those of us who are merely crew members should not publicly address important matters unless OK'd by Tbone or another captain.

Personal vendettas and feelings must not get in the way of doing our duty in game, but it has and we're paying for it. I don't care what anybody says, you can't get anywhere without allies, and it pissed me off that all of a sudden all of the zionist factions just told us to go screw because of arrogance and selfishness. I honestly doubt that many of you will agree with what I'm saying, but it seems that actions of a select few are driving us into seclusion and abandonment, this needs to be stopped and we need to make amends for the words that shouldn't have been said and actions that shouldn't have been done. If need be I'll make another specific thread about this so I get my point across.

FA is slowly dying, time to stop screwing around and fix it.

You bring up a good point. As you can see im new to FA, so i wasn't aware of alot of the situation. I read up a bit on it, and i understand now.

One thing i noticed in most MMORPG's is that a whole faction isn't represented by one or 2 of it's low ranking members...  This is just the way people act. This means that there must be more then a few people setting a bad rep for us... Either that or we have a high rank screwing up somewhere. I could be wrong though, but this is how i see it.

If thats not the case, then im sorry to say that alot of the people who play this game(don't take offense to this.. I say alot.. Not everyone) are just plain ignorant for judging only a small handful of us...

One thing that also just popped up into my mind.... FA is selective in there members... Could this hate really just be hidden jealousy? I'm sure there are many people who tried to join but couldn't get past the quiz, so now they consider FA to be "gay" because they can't be a member...

We should definately NOT let the actions of  other factions dictate what side we choose.  We've followed Morpheus this long,  no reason to change that now just so we can get some childish satisfaction by going out of our way and positioning ourselves against some players that have pissed us off.  Get over it already.

I'm really willing to roleplay anything to get away from the majority of idiots and fanbois.  If there's a Zion split, I'd be more than willing to not have to play alongsides certain people.  I always like the path less traveled and I think if any faction has the organization and gathering skills to take the road with less people and be successful, it's us.

Lock is to troublesome, I have no desire to report to a silly council of Zion. I would be willing to consider an alignment change if a new organization appeared that was appealing, but only after alot of discussion. I also do not believe that any force outside of the FA should have a say in where we end up, if we decide to go somewhere, we do so of our own accord.
