These were taken from QA, so which means they're probably going to be implemented soon. Either we crank out everything we need coded now or we'll be forking over our arm and leg whenever we want something coded. As of right now only compiling out each item costs info, but these changes make it so that every frag/ability/item created costs a fair amount for it's difficulty. Bad news for coders I'm afraid.

i have a feeling this may have something to do with a petition i sent in that was a possible exploit in the coder tree. there were a few abilities that could be compiled, and then recycled for about 48,400$i and were only difficulty 12 so just about anyone could do it. take about 20 of those and you got yourself a mil (granted you have an unlimited supply of bits). this may be to balance that out, but that's a bit of outrageous balancing .... eek talk about tipping the teeter totter the other way .... ouch :(

they all look kinda of the same, so it just might be the coding that the devs did, maybe they'll tweak it some more before putting it out, if not i want all the abilities in coder and hacker done before that and kept in someones code archive :) please!

Bloody hell.
WTF is wrong with the devs? They're not fixing coding at all. They're just ruining it even more.

Can't say i am too thrilled about that choice...

I agree coding should be more challenging, but that is not the way to go about it.

Adding the info cost is good for balancing out the coding tree, but the money they cost according to that is total bullshit. Just  a little on the excess.

From the pictures I've seen of the cost, its not to bad. It might be a pain in arse but realy nothing we can't deal with. A coder could make a good deal of money prodcuing things that only cost some bits and at most a red fragment that could be gotten fairly easly (of course as long as the district is up and running and not covered in spawned agents). Coders will do our best to keep prices up to date on the cls so if you are in need when this becomes effective you can help cover the expenses.  It may or may not be sometime befor this is implemented as well considering that the stacking in storage still hasn't hit the live server yet and was active some time ago on the QA server.

Thanks for the info Benevolence its good to have a heads up on stuff like this.

Zink the costs aren't even close to that plus we've got a pretty good support group already in place. Lets keep a bit more positive on changes cause it might mean the devs are actualy going to do some better work with this proffesion.
