*warning for those new to Naruto, Spoilers ahead*




Well, I just finished watching the new episodes. I don't particularly have a problem with the new story plot, it is an interesting twist. However they are starting to be a bit care bearish about things. I remember in the first 100 or so episodes, I felt like anything could happen, and it kept me on my toes. Now it is just about stagnant characters whose motivations are getting a bit repetative. I still think Chouji and Neji should have (at least Chouji) not made it back from that mission. Letting one of the main support characters die would have made the consequences of the ninja life they are trying to portray more evident. In fact, the lack of consequences and Naruto's, "Hey look! Its a side quest!" attitude are starting to push me away.

However, absolutely none of that applies to the manga! It stays right on track and keeps things going the way it should be! The files I downloaded were corrupt, so I havent read the three most recent ones yet, but I have no doubt they will be impressive.

I think it will just result in a series where I own the entire collection, but skips certain box sets when I am showing it off to friends =)

Well, what do you expect? The mange is great for the story to move forward and keep the good stuff coming. The show actually explains more and goes more in depth than the mange does. The manga is all fire but not really any spark. I like the manga cuz its cool and gets to the point, but I also like the show cuz it explains more about the characters.

You have to respect both in their own right. The action and drama is meaningless without character development but the character stuff is "boring" and "uninteresting" to many people. It's a constant battle and the character stuff usually gets cut. I love the fact that the anime goes more in depth, its usually the other way around.

I'm the same way, Omegus.  I can't stop watching anymore!  And with a new episode every week, I always have something to do.  I can't imagine the amount of work that goes into producing an animated program that does not have a hiatus.  I've got to give it up to the animators.

Just have to say, Rock Lee is less than impressive Arch. After you said that, I was just waiting to see how cool this guy was going to be, then like 2 ep's later there he is....BIGGEST DAMN GOOFBALL in the show lol. He is too unique for me:P

LMAO that's why he's great lol. He's a goofball but like Vash in Trigun, he can switch between goofy and pure badass. Also, Gai and Jiraiya are way more of goofballs than Lee. Just wait till you see more of Lee's sensei, Gai. That guy is just too much. lol

Just for the hell of it. OMG im losing, open the gates. OMG im losing, remove the weights. BLAH BLAH. A ninja's technique is his entire arsenal. Whether it be a dog, special eyes, puppets, or a fan. Everyone has their stuff to work with. Nothing is unfair in the ninja world. HAHA but I still think Neji could pwn Rock Lee cuz of his Jyuken field. He could sense Lee coming and Kaiten the shit outta him. That's his ability. Nothing cheap about that.

He doesn't have any blood limits, gates, or imprisoned demons to bail him out. It is just him, his shadow, and more ninja tactics than all those hard-heads have combined. Remember, a secret Jutsu or blood limit only works once against someone smart enough to exploit its weakness.
