Love Hina! A Classic! (one of my very first Anime....ah the memories *goes nostalgic*)

I started watching Naruto back when it was on episode 14 or 16 (haha yeah, I jumped on the bandwagon pretty early and haven't hopped off since).

But nothing can top Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Greatest....Anime....Ever....

Do not misunderstand, I loved Neon Genesis Evangelion... but what the hell?

I have watched the series and the movie multiple times, and while I grasp what is happening to an extent, I still feel like I missed an entire season in the storyline. Evangelion either has some seriously deep meaning, or it is the result of a long, frightening acid trip of an extremely talented animator.

I know it's shortly before episode 74/75, because that's when Sasuke goes after Gaara and busts the Chidori again. I'd probably say like the early 60's. I could be wrong, though.

Some people believe it's one of those two. Others think it's a strange combination of both.

I, myself, lean towards the "deep meaning" theory. I've spent many long hours pondering it, along with several all-night-long rousing debates with a few friends about the true meanings of some of the Evangelion philosophy.

Btw, Professor. The "too" in your signature is missing an "o"

Evangelion was awesome for the first 12 episodes. Then out of nowhere, it got all deep and philisophical. Dont get me wrong, I love philosophy but when it just comes out of nowhere like that, it gets frustrating. Great series that took a turn for the worse.

I watched the first 4 episodes of FMA and i got a little bored and stopped for MXO and school and stuff. I wasnt that interested right off the bat so I took a break from it for a while.

Invader Zim pwns you all thank you and good night

I don't really think it's unprecedented at all.
It didn't suddenly drop off a cliff into a bottomless pit of philosophy at episode 13.
In fact, if you'd been paying attention for those first 12 episodes, they were slowly slipping in bits and pieces of their philosphy, just in a way that it wouldn't be so much all at once.

I found a thread on naruto-kun that already had info on 132.  Apparently this is what we have been waiting for.  I didnt read to much cause i didnt want to spoil it for myself. Cant wait till tomorrow when Naruto sends Sasuke to the pwn castle.

Bah, we will see. I have it downloading now and should be done by the time I get my work break in about 2 hours. I expected a mix of flashbacks and fighting, but not another full flashback episode. There is a possibility that the anime is adding more backstory, it has been known to do that in the past.

I dont know what those idiots were talkin about but that episode kicked more ass than i ve ever seen.  There were like spliced 3 second flashbacks but it made the experiences between Sasuke and Naruto more real with emotion.  I really dont want to give anything away because you all need to enjoy this for what it is worth.  This is a huge payoff for watching this anime to see something created and cut so well.  I give a round of applause to the editor of this episode.

*SPOILER*

Naruto has released his nine tailed foxs' power. It is on like Donkey Kong!!

Glad to hear you say that Orien. I just finished watching it and came to much the same conclusion. Most likely the people who were complaining are the DBZ dorks that just watch for the fight scenes. Don't misunderstand, I really enjoy the fights, but what makes Naruto so different is the level of empathy the series develops between the characters and the viewer. It adds a great depth to the series that so many anime's lack.

By the way, how much of the earlier series have you gotten so far Orien?

Right now narutochaos is having problems with their servers so getting 1-80 is tough im around the 40's mark that i have watched up to.  Then there is a gap that ive watched 81-132.

That is a pretty big gap, have you been using torrents or direct download?

Oh, and my copy of Hero 2 got here yesterday! It is a cruel torture to have it sitting there as I await my slide card... Especially after looking up the game online to get translated instructions! It just looks so good... Who is your favorite character to play with so far?
