i doubt it because it doesnt work story wise and nobody would play on it because if you dont get there at the very beggining because everyone will own you and camp the n00b hardlines you pop out at after the tutorial

Agreed, opvp servers are always more fun and interesting, but it is almost guarenteed that 90% of the griefers will be on that server (where the others are on the 'RP server')

I wouldn't mind personally going to the hostile server, but thats only my say...

i think it should be required to join up in the faction on every server. not right away, obviously, since it will take the captains a considerable amount of time to get their rep points up on each server to create their ships and the faction. but i think in time, it should be mandatory to join the faction under each server. makes it harder for anyone who thinks they can be with us on one server, with another faction on another server. we don't have this problem right now, but in the future we might. just a thought for the future. :)

Ahh.... the true meaning of the Hostility behind the server name:

Looks like it will NOT be opvp after all.........

Quote from: "Tbone"
Server is undecided. We are thinking of it being the server at the top of the list, but there is a "Hostile" server that sounds tempting...

We want to also set up accounts on the other servers, though, but we can't use the same name, so here's the idea I had. If we register these names quick enough, there shouldn't be a problem, but I was thinking of having a unified system so that we could easily identify each other in other servers and stay uniformed.

Our main server will have your preferred name. Mine would be "Tbone". But what about the next server in the list? Well, I was thinking what about "xTbonex" or something similar. Then it was just continue. Say there are 5 servers. Well, then here are my 5 names:

Tbone
xTbonex
xxTbonexx
xxxTbonexxx
xxxxTbonexxxx

The "x"'s are just an example, but I'm open to other suggestions. We just have to decide by tomorrow! With this method, we could also easily identify if someone is on a different server. What do ya think?

I'll probably only have one character on one server, however if I need some on others my variations are typically.

Fallout2man842
Fallout2man248
Fallout2man284
etc.

In other games, we always did the following:
main server: MasterYoda
(for example Parser) Parser Server: ParserMasterYoda
Boolean Server: BooleanMasterYoda
etc...etc...etc...  that way, they know who we are....and chances are, noone will pick that name....
another thing we did was change our name slightly:  ImperialMasterYoda
SovereignMasterYoda, and NCMasterYoda    **(bonus points if you can figure out which game this latter part is from)***

just a suggestion...what do you think?

"Hostile" Worlds

At launch, Enumerator will be designated as a Hostile world. This means, if the Truce breaks down again, Enumerator will be an even more dangerous place than the "non-hostile" worlds--which will be none too safe themselves.

When tensions run high in the Matrix, members of the various Organizations (Zion, Machine, and Merovingian) will naturally want to strike out against those they deem responsible. Hostile worlds, such as Enumerator, will be strongly affected by events as they occur. On these worlds, no one at level 16 or above will be able to remain outside the conflict. Even those at lower levels can choose to enter into the fray.

We will post more information on Organization versus Organization combat in The Matrix Online as the storyline calls for it.

I think the server names in front (or behind) our names are kinda silly.  I like prefer the idea of using x's or any other symbols allowed. Are they allowing strictly letters and number and absolutely no symbols?

After taking a look, I'd strongly reccomend going to a hostile server if possible, and getting some other factions to follow us so that we can have some cool organization vs organization moments like near the end of beta.

The first letter of the server name in HEX value after our name.
