Which MxO Server and Nicknames...

Server is undecided. We are thinking of it being the server at the top of the list, but there is a "Hostile" server that sounds tempting...

We want to also set up accounts on the other servers, though, but we can't use the same name, so here's the idea I had. If we register these names quick enough, there shouldn't be a problem, but I was thinking of having a unified system so that we could easily identify each other in other servers and stay uniformed.

Our main server will have your preferred name. Mine would be "Tbone". But what about the next server in the list? Well, I was thinking what about "xTbonex" or something similar. Then it was just continue. Say there are 5 servers. Well, then here are my 5 names:

Tbone
xTbonex
xxTbonexx
xxxTbonexxx
xxxxTbonexxxx

The "x"'s are just an example, but I'm open to other suggestions. We just have to decide by tomorrow! With this method, we could also easily identify if someone is on a different server. What do ya think?

I like the idea, but have always disliked the XX's in names. Plus, those of us who have longer names like mine, the X's will take up alot of space, how many characters are we allowed in a Screen Name ?

Don't matter how we do it in the end I guess. When we were jumping from alg, to parser, then to subroutine I just changed a letter in my name... Tivod - Tibod - Ticod, umm maybe not such a great idea.

Well, if you had a long name, you could initial it just so that we can still figure out who you are. So yours would be...

Actually I will be creating a female (Always have one guy and one girl on any MMO that allows more than one char per account) on another server that will revive the Iris name.... dunno which server that will be though.

that is actualy what i did put the server name in my name when beta was still going on i had QAkhr0n1k and khr0n1kpar and then on algo i just had khr0n1k


also if we do use x's then we need to list how many go to each server because who know maybe XOR will be on top of the list in live so we need to list it out like
x=parsar
xx=subroutine
xxx=bollean(sp)
xxxx=XOR
xxxxx=what ever the other server is i cant reamember

I think the numbers after the name are the best way to go.

As for the names I'm using: I'm going to try to jack in exactly at 12:00 to see if they've cleared the database of old names. If they have, I'm registering as "Midnight", but if they haven't cleared it then I'm going to be "MidnightMeadows" as always... =\

I think MidnightMeadows is the maximum character limit for an name, so I'd probably just be:
Midnight2
Midnight3
Midnight4
Midnight5

on the other 4 servers.

Insteand of a 8 bit binary why not just Hex of the first letter of the server name?

I don't like the numbers or the server name ideas. The "x"'s seem a lot less...intrusive. The idea is to make it look like decoration for the real name, not a name like "Tbone3984". We're the ORIGINALS. I'm not gonna play as a Tbone3 wannabe.

Wow, those sneaky devs. Switched the damn server names on us at the last second. Here are the new names:

"Hostile you say?" Why that sounds interesting to me. Of course not everyone is going to agree. Later we'll find out more about the "hostile" server. At least they are giving us something to naw on while we wait:P woot

My feeling is that the hostile server is going to be open PVP everywhere, all the time.
That way, all the griefing jerks can amass there and PK to their sick little hearts' content.
