I was just wandering around Hampton Green looking for Suits (as you do) and I walked into a large building near the East hardline, just having a look around. After dispatching a pair of inadequate guards, I chose to have a look to see if there were any other floors to this dull building. After working my way down from level 28 through to 20, i decided to start from the bottom. At level 3 I hit the jackpot; an entire level, with offices, computer rooms, lounges, meeting rooms, and the best part : one-way mirrors all the way round, looking out into the street. We can see them, they can't see us. Now tell me, is this not the best possible base for the FA. Here are the Coordinates:

Hampton Green (Downtown)

X : -11 Y : 39 Z : 2

3rd floor of the building between the collector and the East Hampton Green Hardline.

if we decided to have an in-game HQ or meet location, this would undoubtably be the place to have it

all of the above mentioned and more

It sounds perfect if that's how it works! I thought there was a specific construct where the factions have their own base and they can be attacked and what-not. Similar to DAOC only much cooler. I just hope coders can make fooseball tables.

I was thinking the very same thing Treylar.

I think I am around lvl 14 or so and I have never ventured outside of the slums so far.

Guess I suck as a beta tester, very good at testing the slums, or I need to play more... you pick...

There is a hardline about twenty metres to the left of it. and a subway not far off. We just need to escort the lower levels to the hardline once and bang, we are set.

I actually started grabbing access nodes in the Downtown area before I ever set foot in the International district, & I think I was only like level 10 or 11...

What's the worst that could happen?  Frequent Reconstructor miles?  I could fly around the real world in a Concorde everyday for a year with what I'd have racked up by now... :D

EDIT:  All in all, it sounds great to me...but this thread should probably be moved...

And maybe escort them to the access node for that area.

Hey Ajax, maybe you could add a poll on top of this thread so that we know if people like this hideout once they've seen it.

I like it.  If we do get a HQ in a construct this could just be our IN-MATRIX HQ.  Noticed that any floor we would be able to use would have to be a top, bottom, or roof-accessable floor and this is the best one I've seen so far.  Nice, Ajax

i remember we were talking about this in another thread a while ago, and it seemed that we had somewhat of a general agreement that keeping the HQ in one place wasn't a good idea; that we should have several places and switch so that it's harder to "stumble upon" us in a mission or to randomly see all the angels go into the same building all the time ..... so yeah i dunno

although you get like 30 brownie points for putting "meh" as an vote option .... go you

Ok... I'm not nuts I thought we decided that a HQ wasn't important.

I just came back from the building.  Awesome place.  The 3rd floor is huge, many different types of rooms.  Easy in and out.  Close to a hardline.

Then there are these mysterious one-way mirrors.  They're great because you can see far away without being seen.  Something tells me it might be a bug though.  I was expecting to see opaque or tinted glass on the other side of the mirrors.  There's no window.  From the outside, all you see is the brick wall.  There's no way of knowing there's a mirror unless you come in the building.  Pretty weird.

Up until now, that's the best building I've for a HQ.  I can definitely see us there.  You guys should check it out too.
