Perpetuum Online - An Alternative to EVE !
« on: November 29, 2011, 04:57:04 am »
hi folks,
for all that also play/played eve online, and liked the game concept.

for about a year there is a alternative to eve. the game basicly uses a similar skill system. but still a lot of it is difftent. especially that it is ground based and uses robots/mechs instead of spaceships.

someone who have played eve will be very familiar with this one from the start.

it is totally sandbox, which i like. and besides that i like it more than eve.
im in this game naow for about 2 months and i havent lost the fun to play it.

yes its still young and its a small development team. but the patches that come in a nice frequency and even with the small comunity and all the problems that come with it it is still a very nice game.

besides that you dont have to compete with 7 year old vets.. =)
the game is a year old so the difference is there but not as heaviely as in eve.

the skill system is simalar to eve, but still a bit diffrent. you get skillpoints per account. one per minute. no matter if you are online or not. once you are online you can spned these point into your skills. so you dont have to look for your aktive skilling like in eve. even after a few weeks of holydays you can just come back and use your skill points.

if you wait for swtor, or look for a new game to play, no matter if for fulltime or just from time to time, i think it might be worth a look.

you have a 14day free trial system, so nothing to lose. subbing is a bit cheeper as other mmos so another plus.

personaly i can recomend this game. it may be not for everyone, just as eve is not for everyone, but it can not hurt to have a look:

for the rest you have to look for yourself.

Reminds me of a text-based game I used to play. :P
