The Furious Angels is a long-standing guild dating back to 2004 with The Matrix Online.  Our mysterious roleplay as well as our intricate "recruitment challenge" drew the eyes of hundreds of players, as well as the developers of the game.  We were featured in many articles and interviews leading up to the game's launch, and we maintained our strong reputation throughout the game's five-year lifespan.

Since the closing of MxO we have dabbled in many MMO's both new and old.  All Points Bulletin, Darkfall, Star Wars Galaxies, EVE Online and Champions Online, just to name a few.

Our goals, as we tell all of our new recruits, is to have fun as a team.  At the time of this writing, we have a membership of 81 members, and we are averaging two new applications each week.  We consist of a strong mix of PvE and PvP play styles, though we tend to emphasize more of the PvP side.  We also take a strong interest in roleplaying.  Many, if not all of us, develop intricate backstories for our characters, and it's not uncommon that we stay in-character during gameplay even during heavy PvP.  We really try to make ourselves part of the game universe.

Our preparations for TOR's launch are already well-underway.  We've created an entirely new recruitment challenge for The Old Republic, which applicants can find at www.followthesignal.net.  Completion of the challenge, however, does not earn one a spot in the guild.  Merely an interview.  We want people who show their dedication by making their way through the challenge, and then see if they mesh well with us on a personal level.  We really strive for quality over quantity when it comes to membership.  We have had to reject a number of applicants in the past.

Currently I, as Guild Liaison for FA, am in contact with other guild leaders to arrange for the upcoming "Phase 2" of the TOR Guild Program.  Many old veterans from The Matrix Online have cropped up in the TOR community, and there is a real interest in getting everyone on the same server again.  We all got to know each other very well during our stay in MxO, and we're all eager to meet each other on the battlefield once again.
