Author Topic: How can I update to the newest client version ? (Read 1460 times)

Just so my question is as clear as possible:

1. I am not in Beta

2. I am 100% Pre-Ordered, all good

3. I downloaded the official torrent of the DFO Client

4. I installed the client, and when I launch it I get the "Acct / PW" login prompt

So, is there anything I can do before Wednesday to make sure I am all patched up with the latest version of the game? I don't want to waste like 2 hours trying to install 20 new patches and junk.

There will likely be a patch (small one)... but from my understanding you are in the start position.

Dont forget to defrag your PC, remove unused software, update virus protection and install your macros

Agreed. My dilemma is slightly different. I downloaded the torrent that was passed around during early beta. I know some of you guys that were in beta said you had difficulty getting it to work? Would you advise I try to download the official torrent? I d/led the new installer and launched it with no problems.

I used the official one and it worked fine. I fear torrents because of their nature by I may keep this one because it appears legit (though I'd still use it only in desperation). You have a lot of control over what it can and get do, very user friendly and a clean interface. Ontop of that one batch (4.something mb) was wasted which is a drop in the bucket compared to 8.6 gb of game. So I say it worked well.
