My interweb cinematic debut
« on: April 04, 2007, 09:50:32 am »
Nobody wants to see me in a hospital gown, but the clips of me coming out of the anesthesia had me laughing my ass off.  I don't remember any of it.

That's funny, Manic. You seem to be a wuss about needles, just like me :D

But, that's because when I was about four or five, I went to the dentist and when they were injecting the Novocaine into my gums, the dentist broke the needle off in my gums, so I've been a bit leery of needles ever sense.

I had a surgery last Friday to have my gallbladder out, lapro-what's-its-ly, too. Pretty much the same procedure and all that as you went through, except no tube in me :P

Anyway, I'm glad nobody was recording me when I woke up, because I apparently flipped out when I came out of the drug-induced quasi-coma, and was yelling, "Help me, where am I? Who are you? Where's my family?" over and over again. It was my first surgery, and sadly both sides of my family are highly susceptible to anesthetics. So, yeah, wasn't pleasant for me when I woke up :(

But, glad to see you're doing well, Manic. Sadly, I'm still in a lot of pain from my surgery, and it doesn't seem to be dissipating :(

Vicodin, ahoy!

You got Vicodin?  Lucky.  I got Percocet, and all that does is make me sleepy.

I've been told that I had a really bad reaction to the anesthesia, so now I'm really glad I don't remember any of that.  Apparently I was vomitting like crazy, and the docs had to go through three different anti-nausea medications before they got one that worked.
