With Samuel L Jackson, it was just Bad Motherfucker, which was inscribed on his wallet in pulp fiction, the letters BMF were also on the handle of Mace Windu's lightsaber, for exactly the same reason.

And lest we forget, BAMF, was the sound effect that accompanied Nightcrawler's teleportation in the X-Men / eXcalibur comics.
