Try doing a repair on your ethernet connection through windows. It does stuff like purges DNS cache and the like. It could be one of your DNS routing tables have corrupted, and it's trying to go through a bad connection. I'd tell you how to do it via the command prompt, but the commands seem to escape me at the moment

:p j/k But seriously, call your ISP. If they want your business (duh) then they'll go out of their way to help you (they gave me a modem upgrade for free when they noticed I had an old version when I had them over to check out my cable TV problem).
