TS for Family & Friends Trial

Will there be a channel made available for friends and family of FA members during the trial period?

That would be nice. I'm getting my girlfriend to play the game during that time and I'm hoping she'll buy the game and apply for the faction one day.

But there's an issue. There will be live events happening and it might interfere with our overall faction organization.

I would suggest a channel be made after any evening of live events on the 20th. Maybe after 10pm?

I have a friend or two from work who will be trying this out.  I'd like to be able to help them out by being in voice contact with them, while being able to stay in contact wht FA during the event as well.

It would be much easier to jump back and forth from an official FA channel and an FA sponsored F & F channel than jumping back and forth from one server to another.

Actually I'm going to spend sat and sun showing my friends the ropes a bit... Was thinking maybe doing it for a group.

we could always tell the family and friend members to add a [FF] tag in front of their TS names (FF meaing family and friends). This way, they can still talk to all of us in the normal channels, but we'll still know who's a FA member and who's a FF trial person. This also makes it convient 'cause so they dont have to keep switching from a special channel made for them to a normal channel to tell one of us something, then move back down to the specially created channel...alt tabing gets annoying after a while. Plus with everyone in one channel (as usual), we'll get a chance to get to know the people, and if they consider subscribing to the game as well as join this faction, we'll pretty much know what they're like already, etc.

So, what's the official word on this?  

Are we allowed to give our [FF] access to this TS channel?
And if so, will there be a section of channels created for this?

I ask because I have a buddy or two I'm trying to let know if we'll be able to use TS or not for this.

Can we get a definate answer on this issue please so we know if we have to find another place to host a chat channel for our friends and family guests if we want to be in voice comms with them?

No one person runs the TS server but you still need to get the head cheese to give the say so. Also keep in mind that the server does currently have I believe a 50 or 60 max limit to it and we would always give current members priority to those spots (currently I dont think that would be a problem but something to keep in mind).

I would suggest just making an unmoderated room so we wouldn't have to register any of the friends or family. It would also keep them out of any thing we may need to stay private. It would be good if an SA was online at all times to bounce anyone out we don't want there in case of any party crashers or in case none can then make someone who will be on for the day into a channel commander.

Not a bad idea though. I hope you're able to get a few more people intrested in playing.
