New Rust Updates
« on: May 25, 2015, 11:51:30 pm »
Hey guys, after a long time of not even paying attention to Rust's development, I checked the newest updates for the development version and it looks like it has finally surpassed legacy when they abandoned it.

Has anybody else been keeping an eye on Rust?

Do you think it would be worth it to jump back in and play the "real" version now?  I stopped playing the legacy version a bit after it was abandoned in favor of starting anew, and decided to wait for the development branch to catch up to the point where it would be fun to play again.

It sure looks like a hell of a lot of fun, even though I haven't really tried it out quite yet.

Any interest in trying it out together, or are you all burned out from your long-time dominance of legacy Rust?

I think we beat that game--and the hackers with zero help from the devs. I personally didn't like the new version and that seemed to be the general consensus. Feels like they ruined a good thing.

Don't believe everything you think.

When we were trying the new Rust, they were trying to take it a new direction. They have since tried to get them game closer to the original legacy version, but I haven't checked to see how close they actually got. Hackers and wipes were still a consistent problem last I checked.
