I figured I would start a new thread on this topic.

LOOT LIST
SECONDARY LOOT LIST

A new loot system was proposed to me by Mharz that I actually really like. It's called Suicide Kings. Here's how it works...

Basic Rules
At the beginning, we roll to determine order on the list. This is only done once. For each loot role, the person at the TOP of the list can take or pass. Taking the item suicides you, taking you to the BOTTOM of the list. If you pass, you remain at the top of the list and the person under you can suicide to take the item, and so on. This would still be checked with the loot table so that people aren't able to get two of one item before someone else is able to get one.

A secondary list can be made for secondary loot (min/maxing, offsets, etc.)

Why Change?
So why change the loot system? The biggest fault of our previous loot system was that it would reset every week. Because it's luck of the roll, people were able to get several pieces of gear while others were left not getting loot for weeks. This was amplified when people only needed a few pieces or we aren't able to clear all the content in a week.

With the new loot system, rotation remains consistent week to week. As long as you don't get a penalty, you can remain at the top of the list until you are ready to suicide for an item. Which brings me to penalties...

Proposed Penalties
I believe this system can also be used for penalties to reward consistent raiders and punish inconsistent ones. Here's a rough draft:

Late With Little Notice - Move down one spot
Late Without Notice - Move down two spots
Missed Day With Notice - Move down two spots
Missed Day Without Notice - Bottom of the list
Leave Early - Bottom of the list

Anytime you are absent, you are unable to move up the list from your current spot

We talked about it a bit this afternoon and are hammering down things like little notice= >24hours and such. I suspect we'll have something finalized by the end of the week and will have something to play with by the beginning of the next raid week.

That's a good system to run.  Things are starting to settle down around here a wee bit. You still planning on running: Tues - Thurs?

How about subbeh gets all? Seriously, I am going to have more time on my hands in the coming months, so will hopefully be able to get some gear for my 50. I still haven't done any raids, but will catch up with Nocry in game to get on the bandwagon.
