You can loot the NPCs as well, and it seems that ALL the clothing is lootable. So if you wanted the FA uniform, in theory you could eventually get it from looting. I even got the official beta sunglasses!

I tried to talk to a mission person and they don't do anything, so I can't mission.
I try to fight, nothing happens, so I can't fight.
I still have women clothing in my inventory, so I can't change clothes.

I remade another character, Fused. He seems to have the right clothes - hopefully I'll be able to actually do stuff with him.

In combat all you can do is click at the moment and choose what style you use. At the moment none of the abilities seem to work.

The main question is: why did they declare it live if nothing works? It's like, for example, Ferrari saying they've got a new car that's just released but it doesn't have an engine.

Pretty glad I looked at this thread before getting angry at my screen after waiting for ages to download the client.

I read everything on the forums, so I know all this - but until I created a new char and did a ?fixcharacter Fuse about 3 times it litterally "wouldn't do anything" and I could not talk to any NPC.

By "live", I believe they meant "the server is up and we are accepting accounts and you can actually create a character and get in the game world", not "it is out of alpha and beta and the game is perfect, just like it used to be."

For a lot of people, they just wanted the chance to run around Megacity chatting with other people running around, going to the old landmarks, maybe taking screenies they never took. And you can do all of this. As a matter of fact, you can do more than this. I was very surprised that I could actually run and complete a mission. And that NPCs existed at all.

If you're looking to "play" MxO again, I don't think it will ever quite get there - certainly not at this rate. But if you want to run circles around the Hypercube monement, or pose in  your FA uniform, here's your chance.
