I typed up a long post but accidentally clicked away from it. Let's try this again...
Darkfall is about a week away from release, assuming it stays on schedule. Recruitment has been underway for a little less than a week and we already have close to 10 members. Another week of that and then we'll discuss other recruitment methods. In the meantime, here is a checklist of things to help you get ready for Darkfall Online:
1.)Register at the
Darkfall Forums. Go to User CP and Group Memberships. Scroll to Furious Angels and request to join. Once accepted, scroll to the bottom of that same page and choose "Identify me as a member of this group" next to Furious Angels.
2.)
Check in and let us know you plan on playing Darkfall Online, even if you are an old member.
3.)Join your race's
Usergroup. For now it is just so we know who is playing what race, but in the future these might work like hovercrafts in MxO, depending on how strategic it is to have like-races group up.
4.)Let us know what you will
specialize in. This way we can hit the ground running!
5.)Continue to check the
Interview Schedule and take part in any interviews we may have.
6.)Sometime this week complete
Operation Flood the Gates. Generally we try to stay away from the forums or at least make it optional, but since the game is not out yet, we at least want to show that we are a part of the community.
7.)Make a
Bio or at least read mine to get an idea of the background story of Furious Angels.
8.)Give your input and ideas to the next stage of
Darkfall Recruitment. This is going to be important if we want to stick to not having our recruitment so open.
9.)Last, but not least, read up on the game. There are several places to learn about the races, territory, game mechanics, lore, etc. There are also a few places with feedback from the Beta. Be as well informed as you can so that we don't have to explain everything to you when the game launches.
As you can see, there's a lot to do even though the game is still a week away. This checklist will not only help us as a guild, but help you as well. Make sure to hop on Teamspeak as well and get to know our new members and catch up on our regulars! We've been around quite a bit the past week!
