Based on our knowledge of him thus far, I'd bet a year's salary that he'd only abuse her more because of it.  :\

This is a problem that has to do with the psychology of women. I call it the bad boy complex. Women want men who are strong, in control and maybe a little adventurous. Unfortunately those men are very very rare. Instead you usually have two types of men. The bad boy and the nice guy. The bad boy is abusive, a control freak and dangerous. While these are all extremes... they satisfy a womans basic desires in a mate. The other choice is the nice guys... the most common. The nice guy is polite, indecisive, sometimes needy and nervous. Given a choice between the two women instinctively go for the the bad boy. Unfortunately for them it ends up being an abusive and bad relationship. Some may say the nice guy is the better choice but unfortunately they just cannot satisfy a womans needs. Unfortunately society has brainwashed us into nice guys... whats needed is a median between the two. Someone who can meet the womans instinctual needs without being overly extreme.

Unfortunately, Venlar's right. Vermillion is a sweet, funny, and otherwise intelligent person. I hate to think that she's letting herself be controlled like that, but all we can do is sit back and just hope for the best. She has to pull herself out of this one. She won't even return MY texts
