Possible Down time for me =(
« on: August 14, 2006, 09:17:14 pm »
Well, I'm really praying that i can fix it, but, it seems as though my pc may have a bug. I run my AV and adware/spyware software on a regular basis, but tonight it just freaked out on me.  Changed my desktop, and was..well...making noises at me. lol
But I'm running everything thing that i have, plus downloading some more software to see if my other stuff has missed something.  If this doesn't fix things, there is a good possiblity that I will be out of game until A) i can figure  out how to fix things, or B) i build my new pc.
So, say a prayer that it works hehe, I think I'd go nuts not being able to log on at least once in awhile.

So, I will not be using them anymore. But i have no clue what's good out there.  Thanks in advance guys and gals.

been using an AV soft called NOD32 on a few computers lately, seems alright.  I can't tell you much about these but have heard good things... Avast, Panda... haven't heard anything about Trend.

Thanks Styan, I'll take a look into them. I just need something I can depend on, and Norton hasn't been very dependable as of late. A total waste of money. :(

So, hopefully things are ok and i won't have anymore problems. I guess i just need to up my scanning to everyday. Thanks for the info on other av software.

I like Webroot Spysweeper and Adaware personally.  The latter is free at www.lavasoft.com.
