OK cat lovers, time to do your part. This is actually going on in my state atm. Not being much of a cat lover myself, the story hasn't really caught my full interest, but it seems to me, that some of you will want to help these poor little kitties out.

Well, I live in Sweden, so I'll leave that to you on the other side of the world.
But I done something anyway, both my cats are sterilized.

By the way Malvado, de-clawed?

Ok, I don't enjoy that my cats are turning my sofa into shreds, but I just cut their claws at a regular basis. Somehow it feels cruel to rob them of their claws forever. Is this common in the US?

Charm, an easy way to stop that is just feed them so much that they do not have the physical strength to rise from your chair and start clawing anything. They will then have to be carried everywhere, even though as soon as there is a patch of sunlight anywhere in the house, they will be lying in it. Somehow, they always manage to get there, even though you havn't seen them activly moving for over three years. HOW DO THEY DO IT?

Most Americans do declaw their cats.. My aunt has always had cats and she has always declawed them. Domestic cats don't need claws anyway.

Ahh but the is proof that declawing a cat can actually cause problems with the cats heart. When a cat uses a clawing post or cardboard box or what not, it actually streghten the muscles around the heart

Getting cats declawed I feel is inhumane anyway, but there is more proof that its only for the humans and not beneficial for the cat. Plus it feels good to get a back massage from the cat with the nail tips just barely going in

yah i dont declaw my cats, cause if they ever get out, they die within 2-3 days of being lost, they wont be able to take care of themselves let alone be any match in any kind of fight.
