Ok, if there's anything I hate, it is people throwing out accusations that they aren't sure about. We do not want to be known as whiners. Here's the post that has prompted this:

Here's what bothers me about this. He claims FA complained to him that he was exploiting a bug to stay in the Construct and that he was being reported for harrassment.

He may have stayed in the Construct past his time, so I can understand killing him. You shouldn't have to explain it to him. You could say "Your time here has come to an end" or "It's time for you to move on to the next level" or something like that, but certainly nothing like "OMG you sploiter! You will die 4 exploiting the construct!!"

Never ever ever call someone an exploiter or a cheater or whatever. Just report them and move on with life. It just makes you look like a whiner. A simple ccr is all that is required. The same goes for harrassment.

If someone is harrassing you, put them on your ignore list. If what they said was really vulgar or offensive, report it, but don't ARGUE that they've harrassed you. Don't threaten to report them - either do or don't. Once again it makes you out to be the whiner.

I'm not mad about this - I just thought I would clarify it. I'm guilty of it too sometimes, especially if I feel someone is harrassing me. I've found the easiest solution is just to ignore in that case, though.

Just think of it this way - what sort of impression do you want to leave? The calm, collected guy who can put up with the shit, or the guy who screams exploiter or "I'm telling" everytime he runs into a problem. If it needs reporting, report it, but for most of these guys, it's not going to do a bit of good to try to threaten them or explain it to them.

Agreed. If we want to keep our "in the shadows" persona that we're going after right now until we all get to higher levels, then taking Tbone's advice is perfect for our public image. One, it keeps us out of the public eye when it isn't a public matter to begin with. Two, we can still make MxO a better game by reporting harassment... again, just not making it public be using threats or any kind of message to the harasser.

I really...really...Really...dislike this cloak and dagger ideal we're going for...we are the Furious Angels, a force to be reckoned with. We're supposed to be seen, and feared. The Matrix is our celestial kingdom, where we roam. I am willing to bet money the Archangel Gabriel or Michael doesn't spend their days in the shadows, waiting to swoop down and mess someone up.

Cloak n Dagger might work for the low levels of the faction just fine... but what about those of us who have reached level 50, or are almost there... We didn't grind our asses off only to lock ourselves in a closet, we grinded so hard, and so fast so that we could make a difference, not only for FA but as players. Are we expected to just sit and wait while the rest of the clan hits 50?

Its not an issue of this or that but just coming across as mature players. If in the end something needs to be brougth up the devs will do it.

This is getting a bit off topic with the cloak and daggar thing. I never said we should hide ourselves. I just said we should act mature about these kind of things. Of course that post I linked to has turned into an FA flame thread. Yeehaw...

What Tbone means is for example SpotlessMind uses the bug for evade and someone from our faction kills him and then pops off "Geez Exploiter" That makes us look bad and should not be tolerated kind of like what JohnnyO said at the event Some things should be left unsaid.
