Ok...I have to say, first of all, very awesome post Tbone. The one about the Official Response and Apology thing on the Enumerator -> General Discussion. That kind of political wording, and professionalism, is the kind of thing one would expect from a lawyer, or a Public Relations Representative.

The thing that pisses me off the most, is that even though we have stated we are staying out of this week's live events, they still want more blood. They are at our throats for this, demanding our removal from the game itself.

I would just like to point out that the Furious Angels are not a pinata to be beaten at day in and day out, to have the devs and mods sit back and watch the mayhem. They have done next to nothing to sedate this onslaught of banter from the immature children that inhabit those boards.

I don't know about all of you, but I certainly don't want to be banned from the game, because a bunch of whiny children must hunt down and point out the flaws in us, rather than looking all the others around them. I have grown tired of seeing nothing but incessant name-calling and bashing on the forums about our organization when we have done nothing wrong (Save for the accidental mishap that occurred last night).

Something needs to be done, and it needs to be done now.

As sad as it sounds, The Matrix Online is my only escape from the Hell that is my reality. I joined the Investigative Unit because it made me feel I had a purpose, a reason to do things. I spend hours each day hunting down the clues, and puzzle pieces, in an attempt to decipher the underlying story. I make it a point to communicate with every NPC that comes online in an attempt to gather information, and help point others in our faction to the proper locations they need to go to, so that they can be part of the story.

I am not saying that I resent your request for us to remain passive and inert through the course of this week's live events, but the events are the reason I got this game. They are the reason why I joined the Investigative Unit. Without the Live Events, I have absolutely nothing to do, as I don't find running from one building to the next, and back, to gain a level very entertaining.

I know it sounds rather pathetic, but really The Matrix Online, and the friends I have made in this faction are all I really have that is worth hanging onto. Suffice it to say, I have issues with my social habits, and perception of reality.

In all honesty, it nearly brings me to tears that we have put in so much work in this faction, and we are trying our damnedest to please people, and show that we aren't who these individuals are claiming us to be, and they continue to pile it on. Even when a formal apology is placed on the boards for all to see, stating our sincere apologies, our resignation from the Week's Events, among other things, they continue to stab us through  hearts, and tear at our wings.

The Angel lies in a bloodied heap on the floor, slowly bleeding to death, feathers lying strewn everywhere as tears fall from her cheeks, her sapphire eyes staring up at those who have hurt her, though she shows no pain, no shame, no resentment. She only wonders, "Why? Why was this done to me?"

"Because the righteous have spread themselves thin, and made too many mistakes. So now they must fall from grace, and lay in waste before those who have condemned them."

Please, do not let Her slowly bleed to death. Please do not watch as we are slowly beaten into submission. A judgment will soon be passed to determine the actions taken upon us.

For Christ's sake, guys, we are the Furious Angels. The first faction of MxO, our names are recognized across multiple servers. People at school even know us by name, without even having played the game.

When I first entered beta, I saw a Furious Angel, clad in their suit of ivory white, and I asked who they were. I went to the Zionist Mixer, where I saw you all in your splendor, standing at the top of the stairs together, organized down either side of the stairs, in all your glory. And everyone adored you. I saw the completeness of this faction, the power you all had as one. I knew then why you were all so looked up to.

We have done nothing purposely wrong to deserve Her beaten and agonizing death. Don't let them do this. We can't just lay down. We are the Furious Angels! The greatest force to be reckoned with across any server.

Please think about your place in Her graces. Realize who you are, the part you have to play, and that without us Zion will be lost. You all mean so very much to me, you are the only people who've ever really treated me as a person, the only people I really have to call friends. I know we are all strong. I know that You all are strong. Thank you so much for letting be a part of this Faction. Thank you for taking me in, showing me the ropes, and most importantly, showing me what true friends are.

I don't give a shit what other people think, I don't care if I've got CSRs on my trail, I don't care what the court of public opinion thinks, I don't care if we are the perpetual scapegoat.   I'm down until I'm banned or T-Bone disbands.

You bring up the point that needs to always be remembered, we are Furious Angels to create an environment most important only to other Furious Angels.. if it benefits the community, that's a peripheral gain, but what is most important is the Angel next to you.

Come on! Everything has an end, EVERYTHING, including the recent events. Shouldn't we just take this as a lesson, learn from it and move on? Why plunge into the darkness? Who does that help anyway? The only thing it does is to make us lose hope, and undermining us.
That sounded harscher then I intended it to. All I really want to say is:
Cheer up! We are the Furious Angels, and I am proud to be a member. Everyone makes mistakes, it is what you learn from those mistakes that defines you, not the mistake itself. And we are often going to be the scapegoat, because we are who we are, how we handle it is the important part.

Great point Charm, this is only a block in the road. Although things seem bleak, it is only in darkness that the light can shine brighter. We must all take responsibility for our part in this and move on. We must all unify and come back together with positive attitudes. This is not the end of this faction, we will rise stronger than ever.

i agree its been bad since the days between beta and live those three days. I reamember us finding out that hey we could get payed to play the game and then we are on msnbc. I actually reamber a few people saying hey we cant go any higher the only way is down. Since then people have been pissed and picking at every little thing we do.

Don't let this shit get to you. We are number one.  We are the Red Sox, Pistons, Patriots, and WWE Heavyweight Champ rolled into one.  Everyone is gunning for us.  This trash talking/hating is to be expected.  Since the only way they can hurt us is by crying foul and sour grapes in the forums, I say we take that away from them as well by not letting it effect us.

We can consider ourselves to be at the top and what Subtek said is true.  However, we need to retain an attitude of humility and good sportsmanship otherwise we will be nothing more than arrogant pricks and people will have even more of a reason to try to take us down anyway they can.

But as mentioned above, lets learn from this, make some changes in our attitudes and game play so that this does not happen again.

One day, this will be simply a fleeting memory.

lol it started way before the furious angies, but theres some things that need to be done by the devs, the community and by how we control ourselves in this faction, dont want to link another post but grim was right.
