Can anyone tell me how me made the promo video? What software was used for the capture, and what kind of techniques we used to keep the capturer out of the shot. I have made two "real" movies, and I've always wanted to make some sort of in-game movie. If anyone could share this with me I would greatly appreciate it.

I've got a version of fraps that tbone was using while making the video if you're interested, just send me a pm with your email and i'll send it to ya. as for the rest you'll have to ask tbone or someone else :)

There's lots of tricks. I found some of them and Sevker found others. The generic way is use FRAPS, hide your char in some way, film, edit in Premiere Pro.
