That part actually pissed me off a lot until I read it again. Still, a lot of free-to-play people are not going to like having to pay to access new content.

I think the similarities really had more to do with the graphics than the combat. Same look, no auto-attack (that really threw me for a loop back then,) and the combo system was practically useless in PvP (to me, at least.) Even back then, I had trouble playing the game at medium settings on a much weaker computer.

Played the TSW beta, enjoyed the story, hated the combat. Reminded me of Age of Conan before the expansion (and free-to-play, ironically enough.) I also couldn't run it above medium settings without some serious CPU/GPU lag.

As far as migration goes.... Shadowrun Online, anyone? http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1964352341/shadowrun-online Reminds me of Fallout 1/2/Tactics...

I REALLY did not want this to happen. Somehow I get the feeling that the quality of content is going to go seriously downhill.

If it does, I'm unsubbing for sure.

Well, this is embaressing.

Someone thought my character name was inappropriate and reported it to Bioware. Sure enough, it appears my character does violate their naming policies.... specifically about not including ranks, titles, or honorifics in the name. In the example Bioware gives, all of the ranks and titles come before the actual name (i.e. Queenzipper,) but it appears they don't want a title or rank in any part of a character's name.

I've already appealed to Bioware and they basically told me to piss off. Needless to say, I am not happy about this turn of events... but I'm not going to quit the game over some 12-year-old's butthurt or a loosely interpreted naming policy.

I will now be known in game as Zipr. (Zipper was taken.)

All,

I will not be in game for about a week starting on Monday, March 19. I am taking a much-needed vacation to Iceland. While I'm there I will be attending EVE Fanfest - it's always something I've wanted to do, and now that I have the spare money and personal freedom to do so, I am going to do it.

Please note I am not leaving SWTOR for EVE Online. I will be checking out DUST 514 while I'm there, though.

I get back to the States on March 27 (a Tuesday.) I will do my best to log in that day and let everyone know I got back safe (and without a new Icelandic wife.) =)

That whole situation sucks, but I have to agree with the boss - Requiem was not truthful, and that didn't help things. I would have done the same thing Tbone if I was the leader of a guild with the same sorts of policies in place.

It is available on GameStop's download service - that's how I got it - but you still have to install Origin if you get it on PC. Bunch of crap if you ask me.
