I've been playing DA:O. It's great. I can't see what the difference is from the Neverwinter Nights games, though, apart from polish and graphics. It's combat system is much harder I suppose, and that's what's keeping me playing. I just had the most epic battle with a dragon and managed to survive with only one character remaining with a teeny notch of health left! Brilliant fun for those who don't mind pausing and arranging battle techniques (think final Fantasy) but not for those who like continuous FPS style action only and get frustrated at the contstant stops.

I have Mass Effect but never made it very far, something about it made me not care. I am sure I'll go back to it at some point as it did seem really good, not at all sure what turned me off it.

Definitely hold off on the trial until you have a nice dedicated slot of time to play it. No rush, anyway. I do agree with you that a new fresh game is always a preference, if you haven't managed to find an old one you're already deeply rooted into which is why I'm going to try Aion and MO and whatever else crops up! My going on about EVE is not really from the standpoint of desperately wanting all of you to start playing it, more a defensive one. I know the game is misunderstood by many so don't knock it til you try it ;-) Hell I have become bored of it in my time, so it's not perfect. I do think having a decent clan to play with in any game like this helps greatly.

I am waiting for the elusive amazing patch that will fix all problems. I doubt I will ever play in such a way to contribute to a clan, though, as I just stopped caring. We'll see!

I'm also even tempted to find my old SWG login, arrrrgh.

Though I played EVE quite solidly for around 6-7 months last year, since I resubbed I have forgotten how to do anything, so I'm practically a noob. Or a 'Rookie' as EVE players like to call it. See how polite this community is?

My current ingame char is a Gallente (Jin Mei) called Demiabeille who is hanging about in the Metropolis region around Eram I believe, but I'll create an alt to play the trial with you lot. Anyone with more solid EVE explerience want to recommend a meeting point to start, and possibly a race/tribe that will fall in line with FA lore?

p.s. Have also been checking out Aion and it does look rather swish. Will be looking out for it if it ever gets released here.

Hi guys, just to let you know I'm going to be slightly afk because of work craziness for the next week and a half. I think I need to ban myself from the internet to get stuff done. I have a very scary presentation to do next wednesday in front of a load of important people and this is not good because I haven't written it yet

Aside from that I am flat hunting, trying to clear out piles of junk, AND planning for my holiday around europe in a month, so things are super hectic. I should be popping on every day or few to check the forums but if I am quiet you now know why.
