Hey guys, it's me, your friendly DJ with a little favor to ask you. I need to know what songs you feel would fit really well in the Matrix (theme, feel), but aren't in any of the soundtracks or trailers.
Thanks!
The reason behind this has something to do with radio...
-
Zeromancer (In order of most matrix related to least.) - Send Me an Angel, Fractured, Neo Geisha, Dr. Online
Godhead - The Reckoning
That's it for now...
-
Evanescence - Everybody's Fool, Going Under
Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit, Frgt/10 (Session was on the Reloaded Sountrack, actually, so that can't be used ;2) , A lot of Linkin Park songs would fit, but I believe these two are the *MOST* matrix-like, and I'm trying to avoid giving more then two songs from any one group)
Seether (And Amy Lee) - Broken
Lacuna Coil - Heaven's A Lie
Ill Nino- This Time's For Real
3 Doors Down- The Road I'm On
P.O.D. - Will You (Try to find the Remix if you can as well, its one of the few awesome remixes out there)
(NOTE: Not all of these songs were chosen because they directly related to the story or the theme of the Matrix, but rather some were chosen because of the STYLE of Matrix music (Techno, Rock, or Orchestral), as long as the lyrics could somewhat relate to a THEME of the matrix (love strength, power of choice, coming back from the edge, etc))
That's all I can think of atm, if I think of any more, I'll add them here.

Yes, Pyre's right with Linkin Park tracks (especially the instrumental tracks, such as "Session" or "Cure for the Itch") and any Evanescence, maybe some Moby, Dr Mario's "Beg4Life", there's an O'fortuna remix floating out there that would do the trick, Dido's "Aria", Juno Reactor's "God is God", and maybe even the Zack de la Rocha rock mix of "Bombs Over Bagdad", originaly done by Outkast.
Some suggestions. Enjoy ^^

Yeah... Linkin Park songs are great, but they can cause some problems, since some people don't really like them, and they'll just get irritated if they're played too frequently. Alright, thanks all for the submissions! Keep on posting.

I have to add Mya's song Everything or Nothing from the 007 game of the same name. It's the theme played during VR training.

Everything prodigy.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 soundtrack could easily be Matrixy. Anyone who has played the game knows what I'm talking about. I'll look through my CDs and post some more ideas when I'm done.
-
You might be onto something there, Marrs! I've played the game as well, and yeah, all the songs have a real heavy, industrial feel to them. Perfect for the Matrix, imo.
And maybe some of the Devil May Cry music? A cool combo of Techno and Rock elements, with a smattering Choral certainly sounds like Matrix to me...
-
I would agree on some of the Zeromancer songs being very matrixy.
But the Seigmen days were way better musically :D.
Still, Zeromancer is the thing :).
Seigmen..

Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles or Selftitled.

Eh, if you've ever played the Sonic Adventure games, they got some music that would fit (Although I admit that the sonic music has a style all its own, some levels fit very nicely into a matrix themed type thing) Anyways... yeah.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned any of Orgy's music being that most of their music has got an extreme Matrix feel. Just a though though you guys can decide that.
