I thought I could shake the addiction... I thought I could leave it behind me.  But now, this happens.
I smell a relapse...

Okay that's quite a bit over-dramatic, but I did spend countless hours playing CS once upon a time, and I likely will once again.

Cross platfor play.... what does that mean? Are they going to port CS to Xbox and PS3 or something?

Looks like the source engine is getting a major overhaul. Should be interesting when HL ep 3 is announced.

Well the Source Engine is already designed to compile on Xbox and PS3... ala Portal and Half Life series. 'Porting' CS will surely not be terribly difficult.

This to an extent. I played this a few times and was actually pretty good. Played with a lot of sponsored friends that played in Cal and everything. That being said, I never understood why it was so "amazing".

I was a big CS player back in the day, the cross platform play is only PS3 <--> PC right now, Valve and microsoft don't play well together.
