Title: Post Your Origin Name

What is Origin? It's like Steam, but for EA games. More specifically, it's what Star Wars: The Old Republic will be using to track game stats, chat out of game, etc. etc. So while we'll still be using Steam (at least until Origin proves functional enough), I would suggest going ahead and downloading and creating an account on Origin.

Step 1: Download Origin (http://www.origin.com/download)
Step 2: Make an account (or use your previous EA account)
Step 3: Connect it to Facebook (if you so choose)
Step 4: Wait for TOR to come out
Step 5: ???
Step 6: PROFIT!!

After you have your origin name, post it here so we can friend up!

Don't see it really taking off unless your digitally downloading TOR no other reason for it, havent seen anyplace were it lists stat tracking or how that would even work with an MMO like TOR

Stat tracking hasn't been implemented yet that I know of. It just released today. It does, however, have a game overlay, and will have an iPhone version. Hopefully that means I'll be able to message you from my phone while you are in-game and vice-versa!

It'll be for most mobile platforms. iPhone and Droid, I believe.

Although it seemed to register [no confirmation email], when I attempt to login it says:
"The Origin network could not be reached. Please check your network connection and try again."

Forgot password links says:
"Service Error. There was a problem communicating with the forgot password service. Please try again later."


So right now I don't know if I'm registered or not...

EDIT:
Couldn't get logged in, same message, but could do a password reset now.
Seems that EA doesn't like passwords that are not alphanumeric (i.e. !"£$%^&* etc). I hate systems that have password systems that are weaker.
