Nice find.  I wish they had an ability tree with full mouseover for each class.

Not that I want to start min/maxing before I have the game or anything.. :roll1:

I think in the Republic version of those ships, the consoles are blue as well. It's kinda strange how closely it ALL resembles our website :)

Wow, great information so far this game is really looking like a home run more and more.

I have to admit, I'm rethinking my class after seeing the advanced page.

Same, may go Consular first... but I'm still aiming to play all eight classes.

One of the Gamespot Floor cams cornered Daniel Erickson in the booth for 10mins was bombarding him with questions. While most of the questions were repeats of known info, DE did confirm there will likely be NO open beta. :/

http://e3.gamespot.com/live-cam-tour/live-cam-day-2/

Rewind the stream to around minute 37:00 - that's where he gets into the booth. Meets up with Daniel a few minutes after.

Or watch it here, now:

i'm guessing none, unless you're short ppl for the raid i wouldnt suggest bringing companions  since they take up a player slot

I assumed each character would take along their companion.  Therefore, making it a 10-man.

I actually am diggin the fact that raids will be story based as well ... instead of just something to go in and farm from week  to week to see if they drop your BiS piece. It'll make more for the average person wanting to raid which is great .. we'll see how difficult the raid instances are I say within a month - 2 months all raid content cleared lol ;D

They've already said no companions in flashpoints or raids.... that being said... the raid looks epic.

Im guessing an 20 man would be the max. 5 groups of 4 vs WoWs 5 groups of 5.

and as mentioned no companions, they confirmed companions only replace missing party members when you are short a while back.

You can do flashpoints with companions when you don't have a full 4-man party.

Just saw the video with the interview to James Ohlen...

"The players will have access to speeders. There's all kind of different vehicles the players will have access to."

Sounds fun.

Am I the only one that's... uh, y'know... disappointed with the LACK of content given to us this e3.

We already knew speeders were confirmed (they've been in trailers for months, for Christ sake) and Raids will be in MMOs forever, so the Operation announcement was 'meh' (albeit the whole story driven raid announcement was a pleasant surprise). Tatooine... meh, nothing special.

Maybe I'm just being bitter.

Nope, I said the same thing in the thread about the new cinematic. ToR was imo again under represented with little information gained considering the time, effort, and notoriety that is e3. Just because they said no release date doesn't mean they have to continue showing us the same thing over and over.

What really bugs me is despite constantly telling us that story is the forth pillar for the game I'm not seeing anything at these major conventions that promotes the story. Just side comments of "Oh yeah that ties into this". Start promoting the story! At this point the last time I was excited about what could go down within the game was the HK-47 teaser since then it's just been mechanics, mechanics, mechanics and I'm not planning on playing wow clone 304 because of it's mechanics.

I think they've been giving a lot of information. Here's the latest I was reading: http://www.torocast.com/index.php/news/swtor-news/item/570-gems-from-the-last-day-of-e3-2011

They aren't going to talk about story for two reasons.

1. They don't want to spoil anything - and I mean anything, for the players. There's a lot of Bioware fans who don't want to hear A THING about what the story is, and so they're going to tiptoe around that.
2. The story is different for each class. The events leading up are the same, but an Imperial Agent is going to have a completely different story than a Jedi Knight. Even the world arcs are different depending on if you are Republic or Empire.

They let people play Tatooine, Alderaan, and a raid (that raid was playable, right?). There's a 45 minute demo with Daniel Erickson where he answers questions live. I'm still sifting through all the info.

The truth of the matter is that the game is pretty much revealed. There's no big bombs left for them to drop other than a release date. I still don't know what you guys were expecting out of E3. In my opinion they showed more of the game than they have ever showed before.

It's basically the same walkthrough that DE did on Game Trailers, but a little more action / variety in attacks from these guys playing live.

Also, from the same VIP Event, the differences story options can make:

Think because they have released so much information about the game between pax to pax east and between pax east and E3, that any convention would seem underwhelming. we do know everything there is to know about this game that we should know without having a complete walkthrough.

But the footage was nice, the segway/flash gordon speeder is a bit meh, blizz rocks and the Raids look solid. Overall the game looks sweet and can't wait till testing is finished (or I get my own invite!)
