Looks like Ubisoft is going to try its hand at F2P Online games with Ghost Recon. About to go into Beta.

looks cool. curious to see how it will differ from the other F2P FPS mmos out there

or if its an mmo at all

Yeah, it caught my eye as well. I'm getting a little burnt out on this whole Freemium thing, but I'm a pretty big Ghost Recon fan. I like near-future combat games way more than all the 'here and now' stuff. Makes me wish Blacklight had a larger following, that game was a LOT of fun.
