I'm guessing that RV and FA have crossed paths in a "previous life". And I think they may have just called us out.

I think I'd have liked it more if they could have come up with a symbol (like Revan's Mask) instead of an "RL" logo, but great job with their audio clip choices.
Using our own Tython key, Pc ahjr kcmbfaxb is decoded to "We have returned"
Two questions:
1. Returned from what?
2. Didn't Revan come back to the light side?
edit: Also, not quite as on the ball with getting their swtor guild face going

I don't think they need people to join their guild on the SWTOR forums. It seems like it adds a sense of mystery to the guild. And since they have their own forums already they don't need to use the websites (and neither do we really).

True, but I am reminded of an old saying, "there is no such thing as too much advertising"

There fucking is:
Starbucks.

Yes, Darth Revan was redeemed as a Jedi Knight. He had returned to the light before he struck down his former apprentice, Malak.
I have to be honest, I'm a Revan fan boy -- He is the only character from the entire Star Wars Universe I can honestly say I enjoy seeing/reading about non stop. I like the fact they are supposed to be his followers or loyalists from when he reigned as the Dark Lord of the Sith. However, to me it really feels they went for an easy cool factor rather than something original. I mean honestly no one knows what really happened to Revan after he left known space to pursue the "True Sith" threat. So to assume things about one of the most powerful force wielders of all time and base your entire background story on it is pretty lame IMO.

Some people said the same thing about us when we wrapped up the MxO story though...

I feel like they thought "Well, we can't be Morpheus' Legacy anymore. Who's the closest person to that in SWTOR?"

HAHAHAHA.
yeah, well, they have a nice video...pfft
how can you accuse starbucks of advertising too much when clearly their coffee is made of rainbows and magic. ;)

I'm not really sure how an ultimate sacrifice on the Angels part compares to riding the coat tails of probably the most gifted Jedi/Sith to ever live (when his story is not yet even complete).
-
Now I'm curious: how did the Matrix Online wrap up its story, and what part did the Angels play?

While I'm sure someone will go into more detail.
For me it ended on a complete piece of bullcrap.

"The Matrix Online" didn't wrap up it's story. For us, we wrapped it up the best way we could, with the "All Good Things..." video. Some people accused us of taking too much licence in bringing back Morph, and placing ourselves too much into the hero role. A BS claim, btw.

I'm waiting for someone to make a joke about us having died to bring an end to the Matrix and that we cannot be in SW:TOR because of it... and then we kill them.
P.S. Their video sucks butt. Glad Tbone talked us into VOs over titles.

Yeah I forgot to mention that, titles are shit, hire an actor ffs.

It ended with a clusterfuck of people, lots of lag, FA in the white room, and everyone turning into meatballs.
EDIT: 1500th post.

We've had a healthy relationship with them for a long time, so they've known about fts since it came out... Looking forward to fighting them and de again.

Yeah, I think this is their second or third time to go through the challenge.

I saw the "All Good THings..." video. Man, I can't wait till SWTOR launches and we can start making those again! Was that all official plotline, or did FA come up with the kickass wrap-up solo?
Also...meatballs?

That plot was created by FA. By the time the game closed, the really wasn't much of a plot left. Broin and I came up with the script. We used the fact that the servers were shutting down as a starting point. Why would they shut down the Matrix? An alternate power supply. What would our goals be within the Matrix if that were the case? Free as many people as possible. How could we do that? By extracting a code that wakes people up en masse. How do we raise the stakes? No more emergency jackout. How do we counter that? Creation of the agent kill code. Also, since we weren't gonna be able to play the game anymore, figured we'd kill us all off...lol.
I think our ending was much better than anything SOE could have come up with (and they didn't even try).
-
Apologies if I've missed the sarcasm, but Rarebit released the remainder of his "story".
And I do use the term story loosely because it was a bunch of papers tied together with the flimsiest of string.

Wow, this is freaking awesome! Sucks that SoE didn't do anything, but...yeah, unsurprising. Nice way to wrap up a story :)
