Guild registration is now open on the SWTOR site! Please join ASAP at
http://www.swtor.com/guilds/4513/furious-angels
-
Applied
(reminder: my name on there is Jonet because they won't let me change it)
-
Done. Pretty sure you have my SWTOR name.
-
Applied. Do I have to go through the interview process again?
-
Wow, the STWOR application questions are on the nose for what should be a part of every guild app. Granted, it's kind of redundant for us, but should be useful to the other guilds, at least. :-D
-
YEEESSSS SO GOOD! It even keeps track of how many Knights, Consulars, etc. you have! It's perfect! Public AND Private forums!
Everyone sign up ASAP! Member count is also shown when searching for guilds, so let's get everyone registered!
-
application sent
-
Done.
What do you look for in a guild?
Sexy green hair.
What can you contribute to the guild?
Sexy green hair.

So each guild gets their own public and private forums on the TOR site? That shit is awesome. Not that we need it, but it is amazing that they are making that accommodation for everyone.
Cool to see what class everyone is playing in addition to the total number of members. There even looks to be defineable roles within the guild. (Leader, Officer, Member, etc.)
This is something every big name MMO should offer their players. BioWare really wants to do this right. I expect they'll handle in-game guild mechanics with equal consideration.

How in the f' do you even apply for it... Can't find it on that link

And considering what a pain in the ass it generally is to start a guild... this is extremely nice.
WoW: Get to level 10 and get 10-20 signatures on charter.
Champions: Get 5 people in your group with 20+ hours of gameplay.
EDIT: Also, applied.. but my forum name there is Blessed_Death.

try here:
http://www.swtor.com/guilds
You just search for Furious Angels and go from there.
-
keeps locking up... probably because I'm mobile today. Try later tonight.
-
The site is running very slow because everyone is creating/joining guilds. It's getting bogged down.
-
Done. Praelieum - please note that we are first in to everything.
Please ensure we are the first crew to be registered in its entirety here;)
-
By the way, the guild gets exported into the game right at release! Instant guild setup!
-
Applied..
When it goes live do we have to run around and claim a guild stone and take an island town? oh wait.. thats darkfall

Shut your mouth, we don't speak of that game anymore...

I haven't been able to load the roster for the past hour, but as long as you can apply, do so. I'll accept everyone once they fix whatever loading problem I'm/everyone's having.
-
I keep checking in to see our roster build up. But the site is going very slow. This is a big announcement.
-
And it's not even Friday. ;)
Also, check out the systems page:
http://www.swtor.com/info/systems/guilds
UI looks slick.
-
Ugh, VERY slow... I thought it was just my phone =x
-
Now would be a great time to promote FA in the guild recruitment thread.
Like Tbone said during the monday meeting, make it part of your daily routine. I'm making it a point to check the thread every morning and bumping if necessary.
Also, be sure to read the Guild FAQ: http://www.swtor.com/guilds/faq
-
Well i guess this is why the site was down last night. Damn its so slow, every time i try to submit my app i keep getting an error.
-
The roster page finally loaded! Nine new applicants accepted! If your name is different than it is on our FA site, make sure you let me know. I don't know who Gekii is, for instance, so I kicked him out.
-
Also, the site is loading fast now. If you had trouble before, you should try now.
-
Question: Do you have to approve someone before they become accepted into the faction or does applying for a guild automatically put you on the roster and if so does that then give you the ability to automatically see the guild's private forums?
-
They have to be approved first.
-
You have to be approved, no worries. I only had to kick Gekii because I assumed he was someone on here under a different name, but then couldn't find him.
We're already getting random applications from people. I've had two so far, and one of them found our website and requested to join our FA group. I think it's because we currently have the most members of any Republic guild in the system (that I've seen).
-
Eternal vigilance has 33 members so far but whos counting right?
-
Applied. Same name.
-
Applied.

applied :)

so does this mean there is no more recruitment thread to /bump?
-
No, there is still a recruitment thread.
-
Just to let you know Tbone, Gekii is Loki.
-
Got it in there now
In addition I have sent PM's to all my members asking them nicley to get it done within the next 24 hours.
-
Just to let you know Tbone, Gekii is Loki.
Oops, tell him to reapply.

Accepted, and we are at 40! We're only 4 behind Eternal Vigilance, which has the most at the moment. That's quite impressive considering I thought these other guilds had over 100 members each. Right now we are the second largest Republic guild in SWTOR! haha

Nice! How do the Empire guilds compare?
Edit: nvm one already has 98 members.
-
don't you mean
MUAHAHAHAHAH
-
Applied (JeykEvigilos).
-
It's unfortunate that the BioWare coders sorted the members count by literal string and not integer. Amateur mistake! But we are only < 5 members away from the top 3 or 4 guilds right now. Not too shabby.
-
Out of curiosity, are you looking at any of the other guilds as potential allies/adversaries for Phase 2?
-
Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I just finished applying on SWTOR.com. Same name that I have here.
P.s: Very nice of Bioware to do this set up for guilds.
-
just applied as CapRonin
-
Anyone know who Terca_Feld is?
-
We are now currently the largest Republic guild in SWTOR. Haha!
-
Noiiiiiceeee!
-
Pax Republica has 48; Champions of the Force has 46 - As of this post.
How come we are stuck at 45 if we have 55 on the roster??
-
We are at 47 beaten only by the Pax people for Republic guilds. I wouldn't expect us to stay on top forever since we choose quality over quantity but this is an impressive start that people will notice.
On a fun note. We are still ahead in numbers to Woodgrain's group. http://www.swtor.com/guilds/4807/jenjidai
-
Yes it is very important. This is the start of the snowball effect. People will see our numbers up high and think... Who the F are these guys.... Where did they come from... It will start the mystery of FA and get us noticed and get more people to apply and follow the signal. In turn which will get us additional quality members.
This is how it begins... EVERYONE must get signed up
-
I agree. High number counts right now will lead to more applications when they search guilds and find us at or near the top. even if we are just in the top ten for a while that keeps us on the first page.
-
It's unfortunate that the BioWare coders sorted the members count by literal string and not integer.
This bugs the ever-loving shit out of me.
-
Makes me wonder if it's worthwhile to create alt accounts to pad our numbers (because nobody else would do that right?)
-
That would be noticeable by the registration dates. I don't think it's a good idea or an honorable one.
-
Just signed up. :D

Thanks Praelium. All done bar an errant German - will track him down.

I noticed Eternal Vigilance made a post on our sw public forum, Im assuming our guild liason will make a reply or T
-
Yeah, I left a note on their forums and I'm guessing it is their response.
-

Now if your name on the SWTOR boards is different than your FA name please post here and/or send me a PM so I can make corrections...
-
It's different! It's Dufar_Jabar on the TOR forums. Also, I messaged Dune earlier today to let her know, so hopefully she'll get registered after she gets off work :)
-
Broin, I'm going to take a really wild stab and say...
Lazarus = zombieLAZARUS
-
Risen from the dead and applied! Same name in both places.
-
Done.. im Cubewarrior on there though.. much to my dismay
-
Applied Its the same name but with a hyphen.
-
I'd like to thank my amazing Order for being the first full Order to register on the guild HQ. Great response time team. Well done! Aequitas FTW!
And thank you to all FA who have signed up and get on there if you haven't!!
-
Actually the LIBERTAS was the first full crew signed up! I just wasn't aware of Valkyris' account name, so he was sitting in the queue. lol
Those left to sign up, as far as I can tell:
Zortarg
Venlar
F10x
Aerosian
Zephix
Shirokumo
Really good work everyone else!!
-
Aequitas was first to have all members accepted because Adad is a better master and keeps track of his members' names, woot!
-
2 of those 6 are members of the Veritas.
I am very disappointed.
-
Ana, where did you go wrong!?
-
Technically Praelium won. Although I would have had to have kicked Zortarg to do it ;)
-
Applied. Sorry for the late reply.
Zephixleer is the username, I believe.
-
Woah... Champions of the Force... 93 Members :O think they made duplicate accounts just to show they have more numbers? lol...
-
Yeah I've seen a few of those high number guilds all the sudden disappear of the list....
The thing to remember about all them is they may have a ton of members, but I'd say not all those members are going to play SWTOR. They are multi gaming guilds.
So... of the 100 or whatever how many are really going to be in SWTOR, or into it hard core?
All of our members who are signing up are planning on playing SWTOR as a main game for themselves. I like our approach better.
-
As of right now, we are the 6th largest guild.
If Broin is right, we will easily make it into the top 5.
-
applied...
-
Thanks Zort; good to see you;)
-
Right now as of this post were the 8th largest guild.
-
How are you all able to sort by guild member number? When I try doing it it doesn't load correctly (showing guilds with 9 members at the top).
-
It's sorted by literal string. So if you scroll through the 8's, 7's, 6's, etc you'll see the 80+, 70+, 60+, etc. groups. Of course, if anyone hit 100+ it'd be more difficult to locate them.
-
Keep scrolling down and you'll notice '60s' and '50's etc are grouped with 6s and 5s respectively. They aren't sorting properly.

Wow that's illogical. I hope they have better coders for the game.

Since when are The Collective the 'good guys'? I must be out of the loop of things...
http://www.swtor.com/guilds/5507/collective
(They don't seem to have much influence in things anymore judging from there lacking member count)

From their description:
"We are aligned with the Galactic Republic, however we are ultimately neutral towards the Republic and the Jedi Order, working towards eliminating the Sith threat on our own terms. We will be working with the Republic and Jedi Order when necessary or when it benefits us and only us."
I suppose to them "Good" is a point of view...
-
I'm sure some of you are familiar with the PC Gamer Magazine. They claim to have the largest guild currently registered with a roster count of 272 as of this posting. They are Sith Aligned and call themselves the Coconut Monkeys. Their information indicates that they are based on the west coast, putting them within the PST zone. However, based on their wide readership and those that follow their podcast, I'm sure their member base covers multiple timezones.
Now, I am not familiar with their play style but judging by their name, I doubt they are big on RP. However given their numbers and the fact that they are Sith aligned they have the potential to be pose a threat.
Now I am not saying that we should fear them by any means. I am simply saying that we should be aware of them.
-
From what I've seen, the Furious Angels has a long history of being outnumbered, but never outmatched. Here's to continuing that proud tradition into TOR!

There are over 10,000 Republic guilds, and last I checked, we were #15. lol
-
It's always good to be in the top .15%
-
We were number 1 in response time though, weren't we? I seem to recall us topping all the Republic guilds for a while after HQ went live.
-

There were a few hours in the middle of the night that we were number one, yes. As a matter of fact, Jaypee mentioned to me that David Bass had taken note that we were one of the first guilds registered in high numbers on the guild system.
-
New members please remember to register to be accepted into the guild on the SWTOR site.
If your name is different on SWTOR than it is on our forums please post that information here.
-
I applied. My name on the SWTOR forums though is BladeDArk.
-
We are still in the Top 25 of the Republic guilds in numbers. Of course the only thing that will matter come launch will be Top server guild, and I think we will get that in the quality department hands down.
-
Just wanted to remind new members to register into the Guild HQ.
-
I've been keeping up with it. I believe they all have.
-
Good! Thats why we lab u! Keep up the good work. Happy B-day again :P
