Troopers aren't in it for glory. They are protecting the Republic. They are protecting freedom. And according to the newest trailer from Star Wars: The Old Republic, the Troopers' duty is to defend the people and the principles of the Republic no matter the sacrifice.
Today, Gamespot posted the latest class video from SWTOR, this one highlighting the Republic Trooper. Videogame voice-over legend Jennifer Hale lends her talent to this exciting trailer, which briefly outlines the Trooper's role in the overarching Star Wars story. The video showcases the incredible weapons and devices the Troopers use to defeat their enemies, even ones as powerful as the Force-wielding Sith Warriors.

To me it just makes killing force users that much sweeter when you use a smuggler or trooper. In TOR it probably wont be so much, but its always a tasty treat as a "normal" class player to take down a god.

RP-Wise, yes... but im pretty sure they gonna make all the classes balanced... Of course... jedi/sith can deflect blasters while they run towards them, but im pretty sure smugglers/troops/bh are going to have an easy time kiting them... So it wont be like fighting a god... its just another character.

yeah gameplay wise it wont matter. which is why I said it wouldnt matter much in TOR. but it will matter all the same to me, a vet of the D6RPG and SWG where they were pretty much gods.

That is why I have "In my opinion" in front of cheating. "I" feel it is way too much like cheating to play as one, but I'm not going to ridcule people for playing one or try to persuade them to play another class.
In RP/ SW Universe Say a non-force user is taking on a jedi. The non-force user would most likely be the underdog. Being that under dog and killing force users is just all that more awesome.
Also jedi in prenge swg were a alpha class, so killing one was note worthy.
