So here's the deal...
We were gearing up towards APB until the business model was announced. For those who don't know, you can pay $10/mo for unlimited time or $7/20hrs. ON TOP of that, every transaction you make in the game cost RTW points, which also must be purchased with real cash, hiking up the price to who knows where.
Meanwhile, a lot of us got an email invitation to play Darkfall again for 14 days for free. We took up the offer and, surprisingly, there is a lot of interest from those doing the trial to resub to Darkfall again. They've made a lot of nice changes from when we used to play (grind isn't as bad, for one), though a lot of the same grievances do exist (ARAC clans, griefers, basically everyone is an asshole).
So with this sudden change of events, we need to figure out where we want to focus, since SWTOR is still a year away.
APB - casual shooter with amazing customization. Lacks depth, teams are limited to 4 people, have to pay monthly/hourly PLUS mandatory micro-transactions.
Darkfall - epically big MMO, lots of skills/spells to focus on, challenging PvE and PvP, very team-oriented. Game can still be a grind, the free for all PvP can mean hours of work lost, can be very frustrating since community is mostly asshats.
So what's your preference?

Personally I don't care, but I will go with DFO because it is more rewarding in my opinion and has a better payment plan. Oh and I will be re-subbing this week.

Darkfall for sure. I need something to do with my summer that's rewarding.

Neither for me. I'll be sticking with EVE, making space monies as a lone wolf explorer/salvager.

I voted for DF as I enjoy playing as part of a team, but I will continue to amassing power in EVE, I am nearing the midpoint in maxing out ALL drone skills :-)

I'm missing EVE a bit...
Starcraft2 Beta for now, then Starcraft 2 in July. I've lost interest in both of these. =(

Yeah thanks for making me look like I don't want to game with the group. :P
I just don't care for the fantasy setting, and my initial experience with Darkfall left a bad taste in my mouth. I have no interest in going back.

I didn't mean it like that! I was simpy justifying why I play it at all as I do not care for fantasy genres either. I'd play APB for the same reason if that was what we were going with even though I hate their business model.

Looks like it is Darkfall or nothing at all, so Darkfall it is! Most of us have already subbed for 6 months.

Honestly I'm apathetic towards both. The reason I've been so inactive here on the boards is because nothing the group is doing really interests me until SWTOR comes out. Darkfall was fun, but I know that, despite the changes made to it, if I re-sub I will just be getting more of the same, which was enough to drive me to inactivity the last time (which, if anyone recalls, got my FA membership revoked due to overall inactivity, haha).
So if I remove Darkfall as an option then that leaves me with really only one way to connect with you guys outside of these forums, and that is APB. The game itself looks awesome and I will definitely be giving it a shot, but their business model gives me the strong urge to strangle someone. As this point I would say it looks unlikely that I will really stick to that one for long, if at all.
So until SWTOR comes out it looks like I'll just be sticking to my Xbox. I just bought Borderlands, and Red Dead comes out in a few days, not to mention the awesome lineup of new releases Xbox gamers are expecting this year. I'd like to hear more about the new DF, but it will have to be much over-hyped if I'm going to be talked back into paying for it again.
