I submitted a short story to a player-run contest in EVE Online. The contest is to help promote the upcoming expansion called "Tyrannis", which introduces planetary harvesting. The concept is to tell the story of an inhabitant of a planet, and how they would be affected by planetary harvesting.
The prizes are cash to spend in the EVE Online store, as well as a nice chunk of game currency.
The contest owner is posting all the submissions on his blog, and will announce the winners in two weeks. Anyone is able to rate the stories, ranging from 1 to 5 stars. I'm not sure if the ratings will be taken into account for the judging, but I'm sure it doesn't hurt. :)
