The Furious Angels

We've been talking about it for a while now; the ramblings in Teamspeak, the talk of how long drives would be for certain people, how much fun it would be to meet Anamodiel (haha, kidding), and the idea of Broin attending the get together or not.
Well, a bit of inspiration popped into my head not even ten minutes ago, and I felt compelled to finally make a thread on this because I honestly think that this is the best idea in the world. No, getting together is not the best idea that I've ever had, but the best idea I've ever had involves the perfect date to have the get together:
July 31st.
The day the Matrix Online shuts down for good. We were some of the most hardcore, most well known people in the game. We met each other through it, and, because of it, the Furious Angels has grown into a second family for many people thanks to the Matrix Online. We all hold it in a special place in our hearts (some in different spots than others), but we can all agree that the game had an impact on many of us. What better way to send the game off then for some of us to be together in the Real?
Sure, being together in Teamspeak would be fun, but some of us being together in the Real would really, truly make it feel special.
The best part?
July 31st is a Friday. We would all meet in DC on Thursday night or Friday morning/afternoon and play the Matrix until it meatwads us one last time at midnight Megacity Time. It would only be a day of work off for most people, and flights to D.C. from many different areas is pretty cheap right now from what I've been told. As well, I know quite a few people live in the Midwest, and we could meet up somewhere and drive over from there to save money on gasoline and airfare. Plus, we could bring our own computers/laptops!
Discuss?
-
This should be interesting!
-
Personally thats a bit fast for me due to work restrictions on taking a vacation of any sort. I'd have to take off as I work 4pm to 1am central both Friday and Saturday nights.
I wasnt really a player in the MXO segment of FA anyway, sadly. :( Hope some of the other guys and gals can get there though!
-
Then we can't be in game for the end... I like your logic, but we wouldn't be involved with the ending of the matrix.
-
Yeah, I think the problem is that not everyone has a laptop.
-
I really like the Idea Ana, but i know I would not be able to take off from both jobs right now. I will however make a point to atleast be ingame before they shutdown the servers. If we cannot atleast make it to DC, then make it into game (resub for some) and see the game and some of the old players off FA style.
-
im all for one last ass kicking in game if anyone is up for that.
-
Can't go to DC, but I'm willing to offer my home to people if they want to come to me and party. I already have that friday off and I live right behind our airport (airport code BMI).
Let me know if in the illinois area or interested, so I'm forced to convince the wife its a good idea.
I have a desktop I have to fix that can be used, and a laptop that might be able to handle it.
-
Im with fuse. a 2 hour drive to u is better than the drive to DC, but im in for DC, just dont want to do it when I cant play the finale.
-

Why would we not be able to play the finale? We pack up our computers in the car and head out and get there on Friday afternoon/morning/Thursday night. It isn't like you guys are women and have 6 suitcases. You need a duffle bag and a computer with a monitor.
-
My computer is my server, so doesn't move from this home.
I'm downloading mxo to my laptop now to test it, but I'm still not going to DC. Milwakee is an easy drive for me, as I head to Chicago often, but even Michigan is a bit further than I'd like to go. Obviously me going somewhere else also depends on how much I've kept the wife pleased.
-
I have a desktop and what internet would we use? Tbones faulty system???
-
My wife says it's cool to have people over. Lits, I've confirmed she won't kill you, but she may give you some dirty looks. I can't gaurentee she was honest about the not killing part either. =)
I'll make my own thread for people who can't make it to DC but ight be more local to IL.
-
LOL your wife would flay me with a butterknife. Unless, of course, I was obviously hanging all over someone else (which I wont be, since T won't be there *kidding!*)
July 31 is a little soon for me. I want to I want to I want to like I haven't wanted anything since Antonio Banderas did "Desperado" but I'll have to see how the month of June and the early part of July are for me (as far as gigs and expenses).
If we're going to make this happen I wished we'd set a date a little further in the future in ONE city, but since this may our one chance to make it happen.... LET'S FUCKING GO FOR IT and if a majority of us are going to be in one city I'll do my damnedest and download MxO on my laptop.
So what's the count?
-
Count=0 for illinois. Joanna is actually planning to go out of town or stay a friends house ofr either that Friday or Saturday night. Would it be just lovely if you were the only one to come, Lits? lol

I can't resub MxO but I've come to a decision.
I'm going to DC on 1 condition:
1. Everyone who can will make an effort to be there.
(ie I'm not paying $300 for a roundtrip ticket + hotel + cab fare + food if it's just going to be me and one or two other FA's-- this is a big deal, lets make it that way)
Baring major financial downfall, I'll be buying a ticket in three weeks' time as long as we've got a confirmed event happening.
Who's with me?
-
I have a free ticket to anywhere in the US that expires Labor Day weekend.
-
Another thought:
The end of July is a little soon for some people (it'll be about $400 for me, I've discovered)
We could solidify a plan for August
OR if people are heading back to school by then:
Why don't we make a solid plan for July31st - August 3rd 2010? That gives everyone a year to plan and move their work schedules, save up vacation time and buy their flights way cheap ahead of time.
Thoughts?
Ps I'm still planning on DC this July if more than two people commit to it

Adad's ticket would be $150 total round trip. Hotel would be $72/night, divided by 2 would be $36/person/night if I go in on it with him.
Of course, neither of us would have computers because we have desktops, and you can't really transport those on a plane...
-
This hotel is literally next door to my apartment complex - just a small fence dividing us. It's also the cheapest hotel in the area. $72/night ($35 if you split):
http://travel.travelocity.com/hotel/HotelDateLessDetail.do?propertyId=9851&Service=TRAVELOCITY&WA2=GOOGLEMAPS
In theory, if you can get a cheap flight to Reagan Airport (Dulles and BWI are also options), you can catch the Metro to Huntington and walk to my apartment/the hotel. I have a car, though, so I can pick people up from airports and stuff as well. If you haven't been to DC before, we can hit up the national mall and smithsonian museums. There's a great night life as well. And of course, the gaming.
I have two roommates who are never home. One is a gamer himself, so he'd understand. I've got a wifi connection that is pretty strong. It has been known to disconnect itself at times, but if you bring an ethernet cable you can plug in directly. My jobs are flexible. If people are really interested, I can easily get that time off and entertain you guys.
Plane tickets are pretty cheap right now, I believe. Lits is saying $300 from LA, but Ana and Adad were talking about $180 tickets. Driving is always an option as well if you have the time. There's plenty of parking at the apartment and hotel. I have one couch. My bed is a double, but is reserved only for female guests :-P
To give you an idea, people we already have in/near DC:
Tbone
Yotogi
Dagonet
Bellthazor
People I've heard talking about it:
Lits
Anamodiel
Adad
Whoever else replied to this thread.
You could almost guarantee the four of us who live here, so even if just a few of you travel up, it could be a pretty nice-sized event. Can't speak for Dag or Yotogi, but you might could see if they have room to stay as well. They are both married, though, so I wouldn't count on it. Heh. If you're interested, let us know.
-
Oh, and in terms of gaming machines, I have my one laptop that is working again. That could be used for MxO. Obviously I'd be using the desktop =P. My roommate has two PCs, but I highly doubt he'll want strangers tinkering on them.
-
I've never flown before, so I'm curious - is it possible to bring large items like PC's with you?
-
I've never flown before, so I'm curious - is it possible to bring large items like PC's with you?
I know that you can take Laptops in the UK but PCs are a no-no unless you pay extra and notify the airline and get special packaging....
-
I can't commit 100% to everything because of the upcoming birth of my child and all but I promise I will do my damndest to be a part of this.
-

I'm thinking of considering shipping it via UPS/Fed-Ex. It may be a bit more expensive that way, but if it ensures that it gets there in-tact, I'm up for paying that.
-
I do have an extra atx case if anyone wants to strip their computer down and bring it via anti-static bags. That said you'd need to bring your power supply as well because this one is a wimpy 150W pos.
Also, fees for special items range from free up to $250, so your best bet is to call whichever airline you're planning on using and asking them what they would charge for you to check your desktop (that said you'd have to pad the hell out of it).

Okay I am definately going. My super-delux-amazing-incredible boyfriend just offered to pay all of our rent for July so I can use my salary to pay for the ($400) ticket which I will buy with my next paycheck (a week from Saturday).
It'll be tight for me, financially, and loosing a weekend of work will most likely have me borrowing money for August rent, but damnit I want to do this, lets freaking do it!
Who's with me?
(oh and T... I'm totally crashing at your place if you'll let me!)

YOU JUST SAID THE B WORD AGAIN!
-
Can he pay for a stop in Bloomington, too?
Also, for the sake of moral I say instead of calling him "boyfriend" you switch to something else. Maybe "uncle" or "dad"?
-
Sorry Damnit! I won't use the B word!
And funnily enough, Fuse... it's actually MORE expensive to fly to Chicago from here *shrug*
-
So Lits is on board. Surely that should get more of you to show up!
-
lol;) pirus is going to come out of the woodwork;)
-
I have been convinced to go, so long that I am not taking my car or paying for airfare. Already cleared it with the wife, and no one has shown any interest in comming to my place for it.
So if anyone is driving through Illinois (Adad, I'm looking your way) and is willing to offer a ride, please let me know?
-
One more thing... I'll only go if Broin goes.
-
Not sure if I'd be driving, but I'll let you know.
-
Not sure if I'd be driving, but I'll let you know.
Well, if we drove, Adad, you wouldn't have to worry about needing a laptop and that would simplify everything. We could pack our desktops in the back of the car and save money on airfare. If we all share a car, there's no way that we would individually spend $200 on gas. From Milwaukee, WI, it would cost about $100 dollars in gas, according to Mapquest, assuming a 23 MPG highway car to go one way (so (100 x 2)/3=$67, giving you $133 in money for hotel expenses).
Once Adad gets to Chicago, you'd hook up with Fuse near Joliet (assuming that he can get dropped off there by his wife), and then you guys would drive I-80 towards DC. I would meet you in Fremont, where I-80 and I-69 meet, right in Indiana near Ohio. From there, we would continue on I-80 to I-76 to I-70, which would bring us most of the way there.
Mapquest link (http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Milwaukee&1s=WI&2c=Washington&2s=DC&2y=US&2l=38.892143&2g=-77.036156&2v=CITY#a/maps/l:::Milwaukee:WI::US:43.038898:-87.906403:city:Milwaukee+County:1/l::W+Jackson+St;+State+Route+53:::::41.531478:-88.083152:::2/l::I-80+E;+I-90+E;+Indiana+Toll+Rd;+Indiana+East-West:::::41.747444:-85.030311:::2/l:::Washington:DC::US:38.892143:-77.036156:city::1/m:::::0:::::/io:1:::::f:EN:M:/e)
The first dot represents where you would meet Fuse (approximately), while the second dot represents where you will meet me.
My car gets 19 MPG Highway. Once we get to Fremont, we could take over driving with my car, or we could keep Adad's and I could park mine in a parking lot somewhere where it won't get towed.
-
Actually I would bring my SRT to my parents house which is about 2 miles off 80 on the IL/IN border (Glenwood) - so it's directly on the way. I'm just not comfortable driving my SRT all the way to DC. Plus the 19 MPG kind of sucks.
I also considered beinging my desktop, but I would have to also bring my 2 monitors - so it would really depend on the vehicle. Otherwise my laptop will have to do. It plays mxo, just a bit choppy.
No pressure though. And as I mentioned before, my place is still an option.
-
You know if you guys roomed at a hotel it'd be cheaper as well. Get a double and rotate who gets to camp out on the floor.
-
You know if you roomed at a hotel it'd be cheaper as well.
With this in mind there may be one way I'd definatley show up... :p
-
I have a friend's place I'd want to stay at, but not sure how that would work with rides and stuff. =/
-
Broin would come????
-
I think he was joking, he doesn't really like us much.
-
I've spent about $600 mroe than I should have the past two weeks so am unsure about DC now even if I could get a ride. =/ booooooooooo
-
I don't have a car I'd really want to take there, and to be honest a flight is probably cheaper anyways so I think I'd go that route should I choose to go.
-
you mean "since I've already chosen to go"
-
T, has anyone called your laptop yet?
-
No, not yet
-
Ana can use my laptop since i cant resub :(
-
=(
-
Ana can use my laptop since I can't resub :(
If i'm not able to play whilst you guys want to, I can PM you my Account no. s you can join in, if ya want?
-
thank you subb, you're a sweetie but it turns out I can play! So Ana and I are just gonna have to split my laptop (not complaining!!!!)
-
If I bring my desktop and have a place to set it up at I will also have a laptop that can play it.
-
oh God it just keeps getting better!
-
oh God it just keeps getting better!
insert sexual joke here

I am seriously so excited about this get-together... I'm having dreams about it, i'm talking about it.... mostly to my friends' chagrin (they previously didn't know how big of a geek I am)
LOL
So what's the count? We have:
Tbone
Da6onet
Yotogi?
Anamodiel?
Adad?
Bellthazor?
Broin?
-
I should get a webcam...

If I come I'll have my desktop with a pretty nice cam, and if the bandwidth can handle it I'll keep a stream up on my webpage (www.lostlocalhost.com) or you could access it through ustream.tv directly.
-
If I bring my desktop and have a place to set it up at I will also have a laptop that can play it.
I call that laptop!
I'll even help pay to buy a cheap card table to set your desktop up on!
-
Also I can supply an extra router and 100 feet worth of patch cabling (*puts crimper in back pocket*) in case we don't want to all be wireless.
-
If Fuse comes, I believe that he mentioned that he had a 24-port switch that he could bring.
-
I do indeed...I bought it a couple years ago when I was organizing that big LAN party. That kind of fell through and I never used it so I'm not even sure it works. I'll bring that and I think I have about 100ft of cat5 and a crimper of my own to bring as well.
-
Good news. To those of you I talked to about now knowing for sure, my lease is not up until the END of August. In other words, I will still have an apartment when you guys come. lol
-
Hoorah! Lits has a place to sleep! Ana, figure out if you can go now!
-
whoopee!
I get in to BWI at 11:15pm local time on 7/30
and leave BWI at 3:45pm local time on 8/4
See you there!
-

I'll ask tomorrow.

-
Hey guys, I'll be comming for sure now, on my own - but I'm not sure how I'm getting there. If I take a flight, is there anyone who can pick me up? A floor to sleep on maybe for a night?
thanks
-
BTW, I'm looking at comming into Dulles or BWI Thursday night, probably around 11pm.
-
Well now I'm just needing a floor to sleep on for that thursday night. I'm renting a car and looks like I'm getting into BWI just before 11.

-
Count:
Adad
Anamodiel
Bellthazor (?)
Broin (?)
Dagonet
Fuse
Lits
Tbone
Yotogi (?)
That's a confirmed 6, with a possible 8 (not counting Broin). This is one hell of a turn-out.
-
WHERE are we meeting for the actual gaming on friday? It needs a good internet connection.
-
Also, can I crash somewhere late thurs?
-
My place has a very very fast internet connection. That's where we'll be. Bring an ethernet cord and you'll have no problems (I think the router can take 4-6?). The wireless is somewhat flaky and can't be avoided.
I may can ask for Thurs night, Friday, and Saturday off and then Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday off of the next week. I have to be available 5 shifts a week, so I'll just do all the days around those and I think it'll work.
My place is booked Thurs-Tues already looks like.
-
there had better be many, many photographs posted. If I did not have a little one on the way nocry would have been putting in an appearance;)
-
Bring the little one with you! :p
-
I'm thinking we should make this a semi-regular thing. Every other year or something. I don't like that I can't make it out to this, and I'd really like to meet more of you.
And as NoCry said, we expect photos!
-
Lol poor T is having his house invaded
-
I can make friday.
I can bring a 24port hub with me to help out and a spare laptop with MXo loaded along with a desktop.
-
I call that laptop (Fuse is using the one I called)!! :)
-
ok...Ana has the spare...
I'll see if I can dog out one more...just in case it's needed.
-
I call that laptop (Fuse is using the one I called)!! :)
I actually just found out I'm driving, not flying - So I'll have my desktop and my laptop. This also means I can broadcast the get-together on ustream through my desktop. Can provide links later for that...
-
I call an extra laptop. I guess TBone's, tho it's sketchy whether or not it will work well...
-
I've been using it the past two weeks and it's been handling things fine.
-
Well....turns out if I bring my desktop, wife gets the laptop. *facepalm*

-
I don't mind being a DD for a bar one night. Don't let me hold you back just because I'm 18. I'm very happy just going to a bar and hanging with you guys. I could either catch up before or after, as well.
You're very nice to pick us up at the airport, Tbone. I will give you loads of gas money (which would have been cab money otherwise).
-
It is funny that you each chose a different freakin airport...lol
-
Sounds awesome...There's stil someone there past Sunday, what are the plans after the rest of us leave... ;)
Good question! If I had to guess, I'd say long talks about how great her boyfriend is! Lol
-
8 Confirmed:
Fuse (Thu?-??)
Tentative Schedule:
Thursday
*add Fuse in when we know his schedule*
Here's what I know...
-I'm driving but am not leaving until Thursday evening, so will be in Friday morning - I'm guessing maybe between 6 and 8am. I'm going with a couple friends and will have to drop them off at Andrews AFB first.
-I'm taking my desktop, and two flat screen monitors.
-I'll be hosting video if bandwidth allows
-I'll be there all day Friday
-Saturday is unknown for me. I can chill with you guys, but I'm crashing at my friends on base, so not sure how that's gonna work out.
-We're leaving Sunday morning sometime.
When I know more I'll post, or at least text/call TBone.
Shoot me a PM for my number if you're going and want it...
-
Sounds awesome...There's stil someone there past Sunday, what are the plans after the rest of us leave... ;)

and many dirty old man jokes.

A special guest has confirmed that they will be there. Unfortunately, they have requested that I not reveal who they are. So that makes 9!

Keanu?!?!
-
It's gonna be Morpheus!!!
-
Anyone know any of the devs well?
Any good shooting ranges up there? Anyone up for going? pew-pew!
-
Man, I wish I could go. :(
-
Anyone know any of the devs well?

Devs AND shooting ranges... anyone thinkin' what I'm thinkin'? Heehee :p I kid.
-

If you've ever wanted to do a little indoor target practice inside the headquarters of the NRA, that can be arranged... No, seriously it can. They have a range in the bottom floor of their building which is near Dulles Airport in virginia.
-
I'm working in Dulles right now (well, Sterling VA, right next to it). Should make picking Ana up easy if I have to work that morning...heh.
-
So one of my roommates is moving out tomorrow, and all of the furniture is his, including the couch. In other words, I won't have a couch for anyone to crash on. Pillows and a blanket maybe.... I'm going to need to buy a table and some chairs at least. lol
-
No couch for Lits?
Can I still crash at your place?
-
I think its all part of his plan for you to NOT sleep on a couch ;) Only one place left...
-
Could sleep in the cupboard? Just mind the skeletons... xD
-
Couch is officially gone.
-
Plenty of floor space in Adad and Ana's room! Bring a sleeping bag.
-
I'm brining a blanket and pillows but will onyl need a small space after we're done playing on Friday night.
-
zomg FA sleepover!
Break out the smores!
-
I looked into getting chairs and tables. Since I might be moving out soon, it doesn't make any sense for me to load down the apartment with awkward furniture. I suggest everyone bring pillows to at least sit on! Maybe some of our other DC inhabitants can bring over chairs or something.
This may seem like an inconvenience at first, but there will be booze and food, so I doubt the complaints will last for too long!
-
I've got a queen sized inflatable mattress I can loan out but I'm fresh out of chairs. Also it's still up in the air whether or not I'll be able to swing by T's pad on final game night but I can definitely make one if not several of the outings you guys have planned during the weekend.
-
I wish I could make this thing, sounds like it will be fun. :(
-
So grab a flight...
-
I already a tentative plan to buy a table a chair(s) when I get there...if there's room?
-
There's plenty of room. My living room is freakin huge. It's just empty.

There's always craigslist. I will be travelling pretty light so I can't help out with the furniature, but I've never minded chilling on the floor.
PS Jeyk... it's almost a shame that I don't live in AL or MS anymore, we could have carpooled!

I have, over the past four years come to greatly enjoy one game; mxo.
The graphics and excitement was such as I had never experienced in a game before - and have not since. Although I always enjoyed mxo it was not till the server merge that I grew to love it.
My first faction was priory of Zion although one day my captain was unfortunately booted from the faction (and me with him). I was then rather much a free agent;)
Sometime after, whilst I was considering the server merge I came across dagonet and asked what he would be doing. He mentioned that he would be seeking to join a faction called the furious angels "a hardcore gamers group who were seriously into rp".
Shortly after the server merge I happened across a low level zion member getting his arse kicked by two or three reds. He was FA and although seriously outnumbered he did not roll out but he fought, bloody well, and had such dignity even in defeat (I of course rolled in and caned the reds) but my lesson was learnt - keep your mouth shut and let your actions speak as to who you were in game. From that moment I was hooked on joining FA and found my angel to follow - orien.
He was unfortunately not that helpful (not least as I thought that it was actually him I was speaking to on the challenge and I could never find him in game to ask questions of). After two weeks or so (mostly as I had no clue on how to input information in a computer like fashion) and after patient but suitably vague assistance from dag I found myself at the door armed with the truth and a suitably red feather.
Here is where the story started for me.
A few days after being roundly ignored by FA members in and around mara c I got my email asking about interviews and teamspeak etc. Once I found out about teamspeak that was pretty much curtains for me! I expected a group of true geeks and valued my anonymity! I procrastinated and then went out and bought a mic. Pretty much my first time online with my microphone all hooked up dag (under the pretence of being helpful) tricked me into the waiting room!
Once there this very gruff American came into the room and started telling me how my interview would pan-out; I did not feel up to telling Broin that it was one clock in the morning, that I had no headphones and his voice was booming around my rather small flat on the Holloway Road (and a considerably younger chloe was trying to get some sleep in the next door room). I rattled on through the interview and obviously did not do that badly.
A few days later (march 17 2006 in fact) broin met me at a hardline (Richland somewhere, I cannot remember where) and I was FA. I am actually a rather sensible chap but the sense of achievement at that moment was really quite special.
It was in the days, weeks, months and years following that that I came to appreciate what an amazing group of people I had the fortune to play with. I already knew a number of you, dag, saf, pirus, subb, dmax etc from heuristic but I was welcomed with open arms by you others and I feel privileged to call a large number of you my friend. For a team of six (or two teams of six if evigilos was not around) of us to consistently take on more than double our numbers and win was amazing for me.
Our pride in our appearance and our dedication to not letting any one member of the team go down enabled us to reach such great heights that we were vilified and respected in equal measure by our friends and our enemies.
Of course, we won pretty much every event we entered (remember that idiot stealing our info from Bluevayne when we came first, second and third in that fighting competition - http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/posts/list.m?start=0&topic_id=10400102667); the Olympics, server v FA (twice remember, we held them back both times even though we were outnumbered five to one or so) – link to one of em here! http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/posts/list.m?topic_id=36300018933).
As to you new members who have joined us since we left MXO (and before it left us) take a moment to understand that the reason we think we are the dogs bollocks is because we are! No one could touch us and when we find a game that sparked our imagination as much as the one 20 or so of us said goodbye to yesterday you will witness it for yourself – hang around a while longer and get back involved in our forums and TS whilst we all work out what is next!
Anyway, not sure what has come over me as it is very much conduct unbecoming of a Brit to be honest with their emotions;) but as I said, I just wanted to say what I feel about being part of a group like ours.
Tally ho.

The day after...
Reading Nocry's post, reflecting upon his thoughts has inspired me to do a little of the same. (And I'm sure I'm not the only one).
For me, the allure of the angel began in beta. From the minute I heard of the production of this game, I was in it for the long haul. And from the beginning there was one group whose name was already synominous with the future of the Matrix world, the Furious Angels. Even before the game was out they were the best known faction in Mega City and I couldn't help but want to strive to be a part of that. They were the most elite, yet humble force I had ever witnessed in a game, and their selection process only made them more appealing. Only the best of the best were allowed to spread their wings with them.
Much like NoCry, my roots started with the Priory of Zion. I had chosen the wrong server to be a part of if I wanted to be an angel. But, the server merge gave me new life as well. I can recall passing the challenge in 3 days, with a little help from my old Priory mate and new angel, Da6onet. (Though, like NoCry my angel was Orien.) A few days later I finally hounded Boin and Tbone enough with PMs that they agreed to interview me. Meeting Tbone was something special. It was honestly right up there with Morpheus or Niobe, he was an icon and his unit of angels were a driving force behind the story of the Matrix. His importance came with the burdon of a busy schedule, so he did not have the time to lead my interview and passed it onto Broin. I did not realize it that day, but quickly learned just how pivotal he was to the world as well.
I recall how nervous I was there in TS. Butterflies overwhelmed my stomach. Luckily for me, we did not do an in game interview, or I may have beeneven more intimidated by the force in the same room with me. Needless to say I was accepted, and it only took the one opportunity for me to stay until the end (though the end is still far far off I know I will be part of it).
Memories of days with the angels are numerous. Fighting Machines, destroying Mervs, running mission afte mission for Zion. We dominated Mega City, no ifs ands or buts about it. Too many memories to count, almost all of them were great.
As for the final day. those of you that were part of us understand when I say Fuck The Flower. The devs managed to ruin the final day of the greatest game we ever played. Luckily one was nice enough to get us into the White Room for some sanctuary. In the Real, we partied and celebrated together as if we were old friends. We never truly met before, most of us, but we got along immediately and had a blast. When it came to an end, the Angels once again stood tall, creating a V formation in front of Mara's church for all to see. When the system warned us to wake up, one final salute went out from Tbone's angels, and it was done.
Our legacy will live on, and we will thrive in a new world, but for now, it is a bitter sweet day after.
