I think we've talked about the race thing before, but what character class do you think you will play in game and what Race are you interested in?

Oh, okay one more thing... Broin don't believe in putting descriptors in front of the word "American" to describe what you think or feel like you are or what you want people to call you to make you feel better for whatever reasons you think you need to feel better for.

I'm thinking of being a support class, like I always have been.
Remember, though, there are no "classes" in Darkfall like Karate Grandmaster. There are only skills that you learn, hone, and then use, and you can do any combination of skills.

I hate to say it, but the Mirdain do seem to be closest to us. Yeah, they are essentially the elves, but they are the graceful, diplomatic ones. Humans are boring...dwarves and orcs are ugly and ignorant. Wolves don't really fit us and the dark elves are supposed to be pure evil. Do we all have to be the same race to be in a clan together? I imagine gaming together would be next to impossible even if that weren't the case.

Seriously though, I don't think we all need to be the same race unless there are some game restrictions on doing so. I always play human where available. Helps me to actually connect to my character....if you know what I mean.

Luckily I think we can be multi race. Humans are just so run of the mill but then elves are gay. Stupid fantasy

Every good (guy) soldier has to have some bad in him, otherwise he's just a saint and they don't fare so well on a battlefield.

So we can be multi-race and have cities and whatnot. Here's kinda the problem though. It's open PvP and there are no penalties for killing someone outside of your race. So let's say a majority of us are human and hang around the human stuff. Those of you who decide to be dark elves or orcs or even dwarves will probably be ganked relentlessly when hanging out in our city in the human turf. Even worse, if the rest of the clan tried to come to your aid, we'd all lose good standing with our race for killing one of our own and turn red and not be allowed in any of our cities.
All of this will need to be tested, but I wanted to give you all a heads up before choosing your race. I'm not going to try and nail anyone down to a specific race (I'm not sure which one is best for us yet anyway), but it might be better to try and stay with races that are aligned with each other at least. So my suggestion is to try and choose between Humans, Dwarves, or Mirdain since they are all aligned on the good side of things. I won't kick you out if you decide to play Ork or Mahirim (aligned evil races) or even Alfar (aligned with no one..pure evil, apparently), but know that choosing one of those races could make it a lot harder for you to game with the rest of us. I'll try to find out as much information as I can about this and keep you updated.

Historically speaking most saints were either lunatics or bloodthirsty jerks. Right at home.

The layout of the land is such that even if we narrow it down to just humans, elves, and dwarves, each of those regions are split by an enemy region. In other words, you have to travel the span of one enemy race's territory whenever you want to see and group up with those of us from a different race.
We're going to have to look at this very closely and try to come up with a solution that will make as many people happy as we can...I just wish we had someone testing so we woudl have an idea of how big a hinderence it is.

Well, is this game free? as in no monthly money-thieving fees? Since A) I'm a student. B) Credit Crunch means it's hard to find a job, let alone a part-time job C) I don't have time for a job hahaha, I have over 30 hours of lectures a week and 12 hours of self-studying to do... D) Student loans dont go a long way :/
I rather Elves though.... Men in fanatasy games are far too.... uhhh, 'gritty'.

One server, one character. They haven't added any other stipulations to the game in terms of your account.

Metro sexuals are men who care so much about their appearance and up-keep that they go the same lengths and more that women do to achieve the same. ......and men like this are usually arrogant pricks so......
